All of the family freezers are full & I go on call next week while I'm out of town....doesn't leave much time to get in the woods. I'm not much on trophy hunting, but I wouldn't mind dropping him and giving the meat to some friends that haven't had much luck this year.

I wish I could upload video here. Buddy just sent me a video of his dog retrieving a deer outta the lake. He lost the blood trail and let the dog out on the trail after dark. Dog trailed to the lake and then jumped in.... He was out in the water for around 20 min when he came back into view he was dragging the deer. He figures is was close to 50 yards out in the lake.

Cleared out some room in my freezer by grilling ~30 deer burgers for the guys at work yesterday. Took the rest of the year off, so I'm going to try for one of the 8 points or the big 10 roaming around tomorrow & Saturday.

Spent another day in candor no deer wtf. Last time I hunting there.

Got settled in my stand at 6:20 this morning and later watched a buck cruising through a clearing at 6:50 (10 minutes prior to legal shooting light). 2 hours later as I was walking to my car, I spooked 2 deer (1 8pt & 1 doe) bedded down 40 yards from it. If there hadn't been any houses in the directions they ran, I would've tried a moving shot since they weren't running very fast!
