Lots of interesting news today

Ford drops the diesel from the F150 line-up....this is why you never buy first generation stuff! I predict these things will spike in value for a hot minute, then get relegated to the "completely unserviceable" section of car lots in 10 years.

This was a case of being completely upstaged by the 3.5.

I think it was mostly self fulfilling proficiency....Ford hamstrung the engine by not allowing certain packages to be included (see article). I am sure the price tag of some of these engine options also helps kill interest.

Not to beat a dead horse, but it is similar to how they package manual transmissions with base models and the smallest engine in the line-up and say "see, no one wants to drive a manual transmission anymore".....

I bet the take rate on the 392 wrangler would be 3:1, auto:manual if they offered it......

It was also the poorest performing of the 1/2 ton diesels. And it should have been a 4-4.5 liter diesel from the get go. Ford was late to the game and unprepared when they got there.

Ford has been hedging their bets on electric since Mulally…frankly, as a Ford guy, I’m surprised they even compete in bigger diesels or even hp gasser wars. They’ll dick around getting the raptor to compete with the TRX, but I really don’t think SVT is where they want to invest any more.

If you want to be amazed and terrified, look at the mugshots on the JoCo Report.

The folks in their 20s and 30s who look like they’re 50 is amazing.

No joke. My parents neighbors son is a frequent flier on there. Dudes same age as me, 32, and looks 10yrs older.

And you always know they're going to be some good ones when they're from four oaks, Benson or brogdon. I think those folks put meth in their Cheerios.

Bring back the manual! I hate car companies.

The Rev only has one priority, money.
well, yes.
And I'm surprised it's taken him this long to figure out that he can get a lot more of it by not focusing only a subsection of the population.

Parents??

For those that pass thru Sanford headed to UNF -- this is where you leave 4-lane US-1 and turn off to the West towards Carthage on 15-101, about 3/4 mile from the 4-lane.

I don't trust anyone w tattoos on their neck or face and I assume most of them got them in prison.
Well it certainly can point to a lack of impulse control and a penchant for not thinking things through. I tend to take in the whole and am very good at reading people in a short amount of time. Normally once they open their mouths for 30 seconds I have most of what I need.

🍿This will be good.. considering that goes pretty clearly against the current law, when this gets overturned (and it will) it will solidify protections for gun makers and stores that are selling products that have been approved for sale by the ATF and are abiding by the current laws.

Heck, I can't even find any evidence that the killer modified the rifle from its original (and legal) configuration.

When will these folks learn that banning the tool will not help them solve the issues of hate and violence in our society?

Just because you're not breaking the law doesnt mean you can't be sued unfortunately. Look at the hog farms down east. They have DEQ up their butts all the time and none of the ones sued had any NOV's, but they still got sued for millions.

Oh there are definitely lawsuits that argue some extended damage cases. Three things going for S&W are that they have a team of lawyers on standby, there is a federal law on the books because these lawsuits became a swarm tactic of anti-gun organizations, and courts have struct down multiple similar cases recently. Bonus is that justices like Gorsuch, Thomas, and Alito have already made their stand on this kind of complaint VERY clear. New York has learned to avoid the Supreme Court for this very reason.
