I really wish there was just a "No" option and if it got enough votes we have to start over.

This is really what the primaries should be, and it's completely viable to have that option at that point.

Serious question....
If its unsafe to even be in the area, they want everybody out and are abandoning it anyway to fall into the sea, and want to prevent looting - why not just send out the ultimatum "Everybody GTFO", trench all around it then start a big fire and let it burn down?

I a was surveyor for decades till I couldn't take the heat in the summer.I worked at that landfill for many years when they needed our company maybe 8/10 years.

It seems to me that most landfills are built in pretty rural areas to begin with. Then after they are built, the areas property values tank. That would explain a lot of the low income families around it. I wonder if my thoughts on the matter are correct.

What's crazy was the deed office bares no responsibility. They have no obligation to see if it is legit

Its an extremely smart scam if their intention all along was to hope not to be discovered in enough time and do a "sale" to a buyer with the fake deed

It wouldn't make it through the Closing, as the closing requires title insurance, and the title insurance company would find the deed fraudulent. An all cash closing could still be pulled off, but those are very rare.

It's still a huge problem that the fraudulent deed can be filed, Citizens need to start demanding of their local board of supervisors that protections be put in place in the county deed office to catch fraudulent filings like this. It will take some tax money, but it would be tax money spent on a service that really should be in place.

where is all the money from the ever growing list of fees, taxes, levies, fines, and surcharges going?

Yet another reason to get involved with your board of supervisors... I never said to raise taxes...

Help them decide what they can stop spending money on so they can fund this.
