Took the M915a2 for it's first test drive today. 60 series Detroit and Allison automatic made for a nice drive. Still need to install the bigger tires on the front, do some interior work, paint, and bolt the bed down but it runs great. Oh yea need to get it registered as an RV too so I can legally drive it...

Bent up the hood but aside from that don't think it messed anything up. Was pretty rough to begin with.

I just spent to many minutes on gov planet because of that little crawler...your toys are just plain cool.

It has LOTS of issues, but at least it runs and operates. Has a hydraulic leak on the backhoe, needs lots of hoses replaced on the backhoe as well. Needs new batteries too.

Cut the centers out of two old 5 ton wheels to use as wheel spacers as these wheels rubbed the front drums. Got one tire mounted and did some fender trimming, still need to mount the fender and inner fender after I finish modifying it.

First time I have ever had to trim fenders on a military truck.

I had a 66 M35A2 with a whistler for a decade and you are so correct, its hard to stop. I still miss having it.
