Military Vehicles Thread

Officially the largest thing I have ever driven. Needs batteries and cables, but otherwise seems to be in good shape.

Delivered to the land?

Went to a friend's with plenty of room. I don't have room for a semi to get in up there at the moment, (which even if I did, an RGN wouldn't make it off the main road), and I wasn't comfortable enough with the reliability of getting it started/running to unload it in the road and drive it up to the land.

After fresh batteries, and running it a little bit, I want to crush some cars with it or something, it's fun to drive.

and now you have the ability to make that driveway road accessible for an RGN. 747, what ever, you have the ability to move the world now..

Nah, it's the public road entrance and drive that isn't RGN friendly. Which, neither is my land, but I can't do anything about the public entrance.

Forgiveness > permission

What is that?

Military prototype from Carolina Growler, was made in 2003, but the military turned down the design and went with 4x4 vs 6x6. I can attest to the fact this thing is pretty useless off-road, and it is made for 11 year olds apparently, that or really really short folk.

Granted I am tall, but I look OVER the windshield.

Needs minor things, one of which is the hood needs to be sanded and painted. This brings back a memory from 20-23 years ago wheeling with Bruce Hatfield. Everyone knows from looking at his truck he was opposed to Bondo. I'll never forget (until Alzheimer's sets in if I make it that old) he was talking about someone's truck that had lots of Bondo and said when he hits a rock he would "Look like a retard in a bowl full of cornflakes".

The hood has lots of Bondo that was used to hide the welds. I will finish removing it and probably leave the welds visible this time around.

Are you going to cut off the rear axle?
