NC4X4 Hunting and Fishing

First card pull of the year. Beyond happy to see the buck traffic and a bear or three. A few years ago I would be lucky to have more than a few spikes running around. The small property management projects seem to be paying off.

No it didn't. He'll be 2 counties away by hunting season 🤣
your probably right. im assuming this is the same bachelor group that was here early spring then disappeared until now. the taller 8 looks alot like a big tall 6 from last year. that no one saw, neither did the neighbors but had night time pictures off all season. i figure i have till the acorns start falling and his pattern changes so fist week or two of season or he will be gone.

You all have a lot of nice bucks! All I am seeing is skinny ass does..

Went to topsail a month ago and took the boat. Caught some reds, flounder and 1 trout. Went to wrightsville this past eeekend and fished off a dock and caught some nice flounder. It’s a shame they cut the season down to 2 weeks. I can definitely tell a difference in the flounder size since they have cut out keeping them. Caught 2 this past weekend 20” and 2 about 18” inches. Smaller ones mixed in as well. All off a dock. Just wish I could have kept 1 for the table

On a side note. Don’t have any cams out, other than security. Hope to have some out soon. Did draw a Kansas tag this year. So will be going there for the first time. Friends have been going for a while and have killed some nice deer.

That used SA-08 is now my favorite shotgun, 24" chrome barrel, it weighs about 5 lbs. I can carry it around all day and it never feels heavy. It mounts and swings effortlessly and is also a great rabbit gun in the thickets.
I've shot rabbits w the 410 that I inherited, this will the 1st time shooting doves w it.
