Sorry to hear man, hope it all goes well with the kiddo.
Here is the information from the General Work Day information e-mail that Terry Sent me pertaining to our group:
In another e-mail she asked me again about how many people/campsites we will need. I told her as of right now we will need 2 campsites. If more people plan on camping let me know, and we will get another campsite(s).
Lunch is something that hasn't exactly been hammered out yet. Here is what the general idea is.
This will be a bring your own lunch deal with some food also provided. I haven't heard back from the one guy that volunteered to bring food but either way we will have some bread, ham, cheese, mayo, mustard etc brought with for people to make their own sandwiches. I will also be loading my cooler up with bottled water, so if you run short or can't bring some I will have extras. Other wise try to pack what you can as far as food/drinks goes. Because while we will have some food to supplement what others don't bring, we can't promise we will have food to go all the way around. Terry hasn't mentioned a mandated lunch break time, but if we start work around 9:30-10am (considering we meet at 9am) lets plan for lunch around 1pm.
Before I forget communications wise bring all the cb/radios etc you have if possible. We will use a combination of the radios and cbs to keep in contact. I don't want to say we will just use the hand held radios or just the cbs and end up short.
Another thing I would like to point out quickly is the Skid Steer Loader cost. Cltdba has generously covered the hardest part of the equipment side of this work day, which is the skid steer loader. So far we have one other person willing to pitch in an amount, we need all the money we can to help cover this. Besides him I will be pitching in to cover fuel costs, and a little on the side according to what my budget can allow. Every little bit helps, so if you can only toss in $5 or $10 don't let the amount number stop you.
Lastly here is the updated attendance list:

Here is the information from the General Work Day information e-mail that Terry Sent me pertaining to our group:
Falls Dam Trail and Forest Road 516 - Eli and the volunteers from NC 4x4 - You'll be working with me and you saw last week that you'll be putting up a lot of guardrail to block the illegal trails going down to the lake south of the big mudhole south of the trailhead. You also saw that there's a long section of hogwire fencing to take down and replace with guardrail along FR 516. I know you'll be bringing a skid steer with an auger which will make it go a lot easier and since your group has the most amount of guardrail to put in you'll definitely need it. If you have a trailer we can load up the hogwire onto to haul out that would be helpful. We'll need to drag the guardrail & posts into place so chains and straps will be helpful to hook the rails onto the vehicles to haul it to the sites.
Please have your club members bring any wire cutters, shovels, rock bars with tamping end, post hole diggers, sledge hammers, ratchet / wrench sets that they have so there will be enough tools to go around. We'll have some shovels, post hole diggers, ratchets & wrenches & sledges but we'll have 3 groups working so the more your folks can bring the better. Also, make sure they have work gloves, work boots, water, lunch and proper clothes.
