That thing is sweet. It does have an older look to it with the leafs and 44's but you did it right. I really like full bodied rigs.

Thanks man! it's a work in progress. It needs a paint job something terrible.

i got some more stuff finished up.

i got my swaybar endlinks cut down and charles welded them up.
ai1024.photobucket.com_albums_y309_95builtjeep_jeep_20build_202010_DSCN1166.jpg

another.
ai1024.photobucket.com_albums_y309_95builtjeep_jeep_20build_202010_DSCN1167.jpg

i also got my new driveshaft in. it's a spicer kit that universal service built for me. those guys are great to work with if you need any driveline work.

i also got my exhaust re-routed. they ran it the same way, just closer to oil pan and transmission.

i also drilled and tapped a screw on each side of my rear axle spring perches to keep my brakelines up and out of the way from obstacles.

Very clean job! This is exactly how I want to do mine. I hope mine looks even half as nice as this.

thanks for the kind words! it been a really fun build for sure. if you need any advise / do's & don'ts on your build just let me know.

wow super clean jeep! nice!

thanks! i'm pretty OCD about keeping it clean and taking a little longer to do things than needed and all my friends laugh at me for it. i'm glad you guys like the finished product. now i just need to see how it does offroad!

so i'm back at it again. i picked up a model 3 jd squared tubing bender off of craigslist so i'm building a roll cage for my jeep. it's more of a sport cage since i am keeping the main hoop. i'm really happy with how the back turned out. this is my first cage build. it's actually my first experience with any tube bending so if you see something that is a no-no please let me know.

let me know what you think.

night #1

here's one with a wide shot so you can see the overall affect. i'll get some more pics tomorrow. i'm doing a basic bent front portion of the cage with horizontal a-pillars that go along the windshield visors and vents.

ai1024.photobucket.com_albums_y309_95builtjeep_jeep_20build_202010_DSCN1410.jpg

this looks amazing, man!

that's man. i really appreciate it! this is my first cage build so it's been a learning curve but it's fun to create something in your head, translate that to paper, and then to the final product. i'm hoping to have it all done by this weekend so i can drive it out to the Marsfab open house on Saturday. i'll update some more pics tonight when i get the rest of the front portion bent and tacked up.

Question about the steering box relocation bracket. How does it work? I take gather it moves the box up? Any info would be great. Thanks

mncdriver, the bracket relocates the steering box ~1" forward and up. it allows you to have room to do a high steer setup with a separate tie rod and drag link so you would run a 2 hole passenger side high steer arm. it's a stronger setup. you could drill your frame and insert sleeves if you have some fab skills.

so i got some more work done tonight.

here is a picture of the rear complete before i started the front tonight.

cage fully tacked ready to be taken out and fully welded and then painted.

front is really simple. i have some grab handles i'll add too. i have to fully weld and sand the sleeved portion of the rollcage before i can add those.

i got my cage out last weekend with a help of a buddy of mine. i got it welded, painted (in my makeshift paint booth - haha) and back in. i got it done last weekend but i've been too busy to post up pics.

i think i should drive it like this.
