Pulled the old screen off two weekends ago and just been staring at it ever since. Whoever thought it was a good idea to put the trim over the screen with ring shank nails needs throat punched...I broke every board and still had to cut off most of the nails. Will be rescreening the top and building a knee wall with some cypress siding on bottom.

Got the majority of my back porch finished up this past weekend...just in time for my little girls 1st birthday party this coming weekend. Cutting it close. Just need to caulk and repaint a few spots. Turned out pretty decent...few things I should have done differently but not too terrible for a hack carpenter using crooked Lowes lumber o_O

OK it's noon and I'm just starting this. 280sq/ft master bedroom in my house. Nothing like a late start.

Like most things in this house, it's a fucking cluster. Left my edger at work so I had to go back and get it to clean up the seams and screw down the subfloor to get rid of the squeeks.

Due to other projects in the middle of my side project, this is all I got done tonight. I'll finish up tomorrow.

Going old school with wide boards?
The rep gave me enough to do my bedroom too bribe me to use their mill. I'll have about $20 out of my pocket when I'm done. Now I just need to find about 6 more mills to court me and I can finish the house!

Got started, left to cut up a car vs power pole, came back and finished the thresholds now time to eat lunch and move furniture to the other side of the room.

We couldn't get grass to grow under this massive tree. We also constantly moved the leaves.....
Problem solved.

I'm done! A true weekend project started on Saturday and finished Sunday. It's now up to the wife to dust so we can put the 7 piece 7'x9' headboard together. I think I hate the bed worse than anything.

Got the stupid headboard from hell reassembled last night. I think it took me 2hrs to get it leveled and square. Each piece has 4 or 5 leveling feet that have to be adjusted so the towers will line up, be level and the bridge and mirrors can bolt in. Major PITA.

I'm trying to think of something witty to say about the headboard with a huge mirror, but I'm speechless.

Mostly because I honestly can't remember the last time I saw a mirrored headboard. I feel like it needs to have something written in lipstick on it.

I think you need a round rotating bed or something like that. :D

Set the deck on its own posts cause I didn't want to mess with tying into the house. Also I took the 2 foot extension off the roof to get a better tie in angle for the new rafters.

Going to build a 3 foot kicker wall and then have screen above it to the roof line.

Went and picket up some of the white oak from the sawmill on Saturday. Cut and installed all I had. Have to get the rest of it next weekend.
