Post up your weekend project!!

This project is from about 2 yrs ago. My wife wanted a decorative air return panel in our new house. I designed this using the Pro-E software on my work computer and a friend at work cut it out on the laser and bent the edges. I cut the hinges and locking tabs off the original one and put them on the new decorative one and painted it.

These projects are great. I hate doing them. My home interior weekend projects usually end up with me getting mad and yelling/getting yelled back at. Then her finishing the project and later some grudge sex. Well maybe hate is a strong word. I thought about calling a handyman but what if he screws up and they start yelling at each other?

And picked up this gem not running for the kids. Had it driving today.

Almost finished swapping the 5.4 in one of our work trucks Friday. Should get it buttoned up tomorrow.

This project is from a year ago. We live on the top of a hill. There is a nice creek at the back of our property. My wife wanted a set of steps so everyone could easily walk down to the creek. I started at the top and worked my way down. I need to add about 8-12 more steps at the very bottom to make it 100%. This series of pictures starts at the bottom of the hill.

picked it up for free at my wife's uncle's old place. it didn't work in the beginning but then I found where mice had built a nest in the motor. I pulled all of it out and cleaned it and that's when I found one of the wires had come off the brush. Hooked it back up and it took off.

Nice work, but it seems like it would have been easier to just buy her a 4wheeler, haha.

Had to zoom in on the first pic. Looked like a squatch in the trees to the right on my phone.

Lol! I did not notice that, but you are right!

Messed around the pool today. Do solar covers work? Burnt up the grass where I cleaned it!

Looking good Warrior Welding! I'm glad my wife isn't on this website or she would have me digging a fish pond next weekend!

She asked for a small pond I passed the stupid bath tub looking liners and things got over board. Been in for 3 years I got koi 12 to 14 inches long now. Next step is feeding a hydroponic system with it discreetly. I learned the hard way nothing Lowe's sales will maintain a pond this size. It now has a reclaimed sand filter from a full size pool. Biggest problem still is fine algae blooms, my uv needs a huge size increase.

Wasn't _this_ weekend, but several ago @Tater and I built this... their goals were unique, inexpensive, no threat of being stolen, seats many, and sturdy enough that bumps don't slosh beers/topple wine glasses.

All treated lumber (4x4 frame, 2x6x16' top), glued & lagged... I present the "Jesus table" (seats 12+ and the first word out of your mouth when *trying* to move/lift it) . Trimmed out at 15.5' long, about 350#, and sturdy enough for an entire troupe of dancing girls on top, without spilling a drop... checkmate! :flipoff2:
