Project dirt dobber

WenT to the flats last weekend and had a good time. Me, josh and trey went and man did we have some trouble. The flats is a different beast when wet.it started off with slick with ice and then turned into covered in mud and slick. No good amigo. We got some damage but I pulled mine away with a dented rear diff...badly dented. (Ill be making a diff cover to protect it now.). One of my studs on my rear diff was broke off and together with the dent my rear was dripping pretty bad. Other than that. I powerwashed it and cleaned it up to check on some wiring...I might be moving my switch panel to a better location. Had a difficult time turning off my motor when I rolled. I had to use my foot to turn the ignition switch off. . Over all it performed well and my wife had a good time even tho it was cold. I was glad we went and ready to go back. Its a place to break and test parts.

Update on my steering: I'm loving it...its not super strong. I can't move the buggy when pinned against a rock or anything but it is smooth and easy. Im very happy with it. Super glad I went this route.

Inverted shackle. Moved the rock and it popped right back. So no issue

Been working on a customers 79 trans am. Going good. But I'm about to do a exo on a 1st gen. And work on mine some more. Looking to panel the body and finish the turbo...I'm ready for more cow bell.

Was able to tinker on the buggy alil. Create dome storage for a strap and tree saver, brake cleaner and other essentials to help if problems arise. So I found some big ammo cans for sale and bolted them down. They should do just fine

So Ive been MIA fir a while just getting some things in order and man am I ready to play. I 've got to do some servicing to dirt dobber. Going to swap out the rear for a ifs unit I got. And rebuild the front end. Maybe swap in a new front housing to start with a clean slat. After I get it up from that I am going to go full blast on the turbo. I've gotten almost everything other than the piping cause I'll probably make most and then buy what ever connector pieces I need. Just finished a rear panel on a 79 trans am.

I've done a cage and some other things to it. It's rolling out of the shop and I should have some time to work on some of loose ends I need to get done for my buddy who has everything to finish his Toyota. So I'll post up the latest.

Got the trans am out and started working on the buggy. Raised the pressure on my power steering steers so smooth and really fast. Got to work on the side panels so I'll keep the dirt off of me. Turning out nice and clean. Going to do some maintenance on it and it will be ready for some wheeling.

Irked last night at my buddies place on his first gen. He has a can full of parts we are going to throw at it as fast as we can and get it ready to do some wheeling. He has chromos, Weber(propane soon) ruf suspension. Full hydro like mine but a Pimp pump from trail gear and 30" light bar, hi steer, cleaning up his frame and getting it ready to take a beating. Day one we stripped and made templates. Plasma craped out on me so we couldn't get patches cut. So kept cleaning and grinding to make a good patch to weld too...there s not a lot if frame left....pics soon. It's really bad. so much rust. But over all. Going to get it ready so he can have a purpose built rig...tube in the rear and HUGE fuel cell.

Got to work on Dustins rig aka copperhead.

Got one side ready to mount the spring. And have an idea of mounting the shackle hanger on the bumper. Platin the whole rear section of frame because of the cancer. It has been patch 1000 times so we are just going over it all with some plate and building a rear jungle gym . The frame is totally rusted out but he doesn't want to spend money yet on expensive links and stuff so we areboatching to get him through til it is trashed.
