I really can't explain itWhat logic is that?
I’ve got a pan coming that should work. Just waiting on it to make the ride from Raleigh up to Greensboro.I just picked this one up off Amazon and it's supposed to arrive today. I'll let you know what it's like. Supposed to be a knock off of the 302-1 Holley

That would make sense. Mine is just for a pavement truck, so I'll be good.Be careful with all these non-baffled pans. They don't like to sit at angles.
It’s a baffled Tilden pan a buddy never got around to using.Be careful with all these non-baffled pans. They don't like to sit at angles.
Trying to avoid an accumulator if possible.
I’m not against it. I’m sure you’ll talk me into it by the time I’m done with this thing in 2025.I hope you won't regret that. But it's a very cheap insurance.
I always appreciate your opinion. I’m just a dumb drywall guy doing all this for the first time. Keep dropping knowledge here please.I mean... I run a free long block built out of junk laying around with reused TTY hardware and head gaskets but I have an expensive oiling system since I want to make sure I can beat on it for a long time.
Planning to freshen up the engine (IE invest money in it) like you're doing and not spending money in all the supporting oiling mods seems backwards to me.
I also realise that you can skin a cat in many different ways and your approach might work great for what you're planning to do with it. I was just adding my 2 cts to the convo.
~$500 in an oil accumulator can save a $2500 motor build Personally unless it's a truck pan, I'd put an accumulator on it.I always appreciate your opinion. I’m just a dumb drywall guy doing all this for the first time. Keep dropping knowledge here please.
On behalf of @Hoodw!nks bank account and his fun time manager, I support this.~$500 in an oil accumulator can save a $2500 motor build Personally unless it's a truck pan, I'd put an accumulator on it.
We have been talking. He’s down at AOP this weekend.Surely someone is running a hero, maybe they can get you measurements.
@mcutler
I swear I’ve googled this many times in the last week. Now it pops right up on google…
I wish they could send me a 3D printed plastic one to use for mock up since I have to wait 20 weeks for a case.
Race case or trail series?I know of someone who made a wood mock up. Not too hard.
Also, just my 2 cts (IDK if you don't care about them) but I'd save my money and get an Atlas. Nothing you will do with this car will break one, they are cheaper, smaller, lighter, easier to get parts for and a lot less noisy.
