Purple YJ Build

Do they make a locking hub for 40 spline shafts? I wanted to go with a spool for strength. I do think they make a 40 spline grizzly locker now for a 60.
Not sure about your application. Like you, moving parts inside the diff worry me. That’s why I went with a spool too. I only went with the 35 spline shafts though. I’d rather the shaft be the weak link for repairs sake. A chromo shaft is a a chrome shaft and the warranty is the same for replacement.

He'll be fine with full hydro and a front digs.
I agree it’s not a show stopper, but a lot of access trails have some sharp curves and 3 point turns really start to annoy me after one or two. Just another perspective…

It was just hard to pass up $200 more for 40 spline stuff. But I totally understand that.
and when I go to a 14 front later on down the road after breaking a few ring & pinions I’ll only have to get custom inner shafts.

Rear axle ready for truss. Need to weld up where the drain plug is on the newer axles.

We always run out of wire at the worst times :flipoff2:
Subframe is almost done. Chassis is off the jig. Making a little progress. Hopefully going to be done by January 2023 for KOH :smokin:

I’m sure you can tell which welds are mine and which are @hurt4x4 ’s

Finally brought my motor home from work.
Mounted a couple tires up. Need to repair the other wheels so I can mount more tires. The Walker Evan’s beadlocks are bent and cracked on the inner lip.

So much welding on this thing. Feel like we are making progress though.
The rear crossmember is going to have to be modified. The upper link is going to hit if I want to keep a lower belly height.
I’ll address that down the road.
Almost time to bring it back to my house to get the motor mocked up and get the front axle underneath it.

Also, thanks @mcutler for calling me on a Sunday to help me figure something out.

Need to sell some of my junk… ordered some more parts so need to make some more $.
I’ve got way more $ in a Dana 30 than I want to admit. 🤦‍♂️ @Chris_Keziah is good at spending my money.

Custom cam, Johnson link bar lifters, CHE trunnion upgrade, springs, new push rods etc. are on the way.
Also decided to go with the new NWF ECO 205 range box cause it is much stronger than the traditional eco box I have. Should have a true 4 speed case now.
Once it comes in, I’ll be selling my current eco box.

You don't need to post your current eco for sale, just let me know when you want me to come get it.

Edit: and yes I'm very food at spending other people money.

Parts are trickling in. Cam, lifters, etc. are here. Shocks made the ride back from KOH. Cleaning up the shop to get ready to bring the chassis home. Built some shelves to free up some space.

The joints I got for the trailing arms hit the chassis where the red dots are drawn below. Guess I’ll sell these and order the TMR trailing arms.

Them intake gaskets make it there yet? Can't believe I'll have parts on such a sweet rig :D
