Hiked up Elk Knob north of Boone this afternoon. Weather was perfect. Carried the 30lb 2 year old on my back up 1200ft of elevation in less than 2 miles. Topped out at 5540ft. Whew. It was a good time though. Obviously my 5yo didn't want to be in the picture, even though he is the one who insisted on carrying the selfie stick
