Funny you mention that...been going to Cookout for decades. Last saturday, for the first time ever, I read enough of the menu to realize they have fried okra. Now all is right in the world.

how the hell do you think i know them SOBs dont wanna sit still for nothing. its harder to get a picture of them sitting still than it was to take a picture with the wedding party at the wedding we crashed in harlan.

Some of the best fried okra...period! The shitty part, not all Cook Out locations have it. So, don't get your taste buds set on getting some of that fried goodness unless you know that location has it. Otherwise, you'll be in for a huge letdown!

It happens when you do sketchy stuff in a hurry with a forklift.
I dropped this table on it. But it was full turtle upside down when it landed.

The thick part is 2 inches thick. The thin under it is full size of the area and 1/2 thick. 6 inch I beams, cross braces of 4 by 4 quarter wall, and lovely 8 inch schedule 80 pipe legs making it a heavy biotch.
I have moved it before but scrounged an unoccupied lift of another type this go around, poor choice. It was a side boom capable unit and being the tight quarters I had the mast 90 degrees to the lift truck and fully extended. Needless to say it's a little sloppy cranked over and all the way out. Unlevel load and a small brake tap from someone telling me to stop abruptly and she slid off my forks. Duh....bad day to be in a hurry. The lift was creeping but the hurry was not lifting it level. Forks would not catch the other side. The I-beam height had it at a good "Detroit Lean". The highest part off the floor was maybe 18 inches, the lower side skimming the floor. Not a reckless height. The center of mass and a four foot slide created the inertia needed to get it headed south in a bad way.

No one got hurt. Best part. Vice didn't bust. Its darn expensive 8 inch jaw. That was a bonus. A Jet saw and Jet bearing press got punted out of the way as she went down. Clamps and related table ware scattered.

Was at cookout today and while sitting in the drive thru some dude comes walking thru the parking lot w a flat screen tv on one shoulder and a Walmart bag in his other hand (Walmart is next door).I told Tonya hims done walked to da Walmarts to spend hims Biden bucks.

I don't think the closest one to us has okra but it does have fried cheese...
 
Don’t know if it’s the real deal, but my dad is in Myrtle beach for the car show and he just snapped a picture of this 69 mercury cyclone Cale Yarborough. I’ve never seen one in person. The google machine says they only made 617 and only 41 had the 428. Only made in 69 and all the same paint scheme. If it’s legit, that’s a 6 figure car. Pretty cool.

I've never noticed it, but then what looking for it. A green vegetable at Cook Out? I usually get the hushpups! The dip good in a chocolate shake! 😋
