So educate me here. Why symmetrical? Seems like I remember being told asymmetrical was better but don't remember why.
My first comment would be to do your own research. I am definitely not an expert. Everything to follow is what I found and understand. It’s up for debate.

Symmetrical is for 50/50 weight distribution of a vehicle. Ideal for older, heavier vehicles, and 3/4 ton and bigger trucks.

Assymetrical is more of a 30/70 distribution. For small cars, it places the vertical posts more forward on the vehicle so the doors can open farther and be easier to get in and out. Also read, less damage to doors in a service bay.

I only service one small car. Everything else has a full frame, is full size, or my buggy when it’s complete. I have a 10’ door on my garage and set my lift at the widest dimension. I can open both doors to the first “stop” without contacting a post. Good enough for me to get in and out of the truck.

I can't hear it in the vid, but the vast majority of brush cutters aren't made for high flow, especially on an svl 95. What's the spec flow rate of that one?
Another video, the sound from this angle is more like a v8 with a cam but it is sounds like a bad bearing. Manufacturer said they hadn't heard it before and if I bring it back they will fix it and ship it to me when fixed.
low flow from front

Thanks that is some good info for someone that dreams about having a lift.

Picked up a rainbow poplar slab today for my first commissioned piece. Slab was 16' long and average of 35" wide, 2.5" thick. This will get turned into a slab desk, some live edge shelves and a coffee table or two.

Cut 4' off it it there and it went into the truck bed. The remaining 12' went on the trailer.

Electric pencil lathes are cool. And addictive.

the F3 group I workout with held a 5-year anniversary convergence today. 36 men from around the region showed up to workout, and we made it a food drive; we collected food for a local elementary school that has a food pantry. That school sends 250 bags of groceries home with students every weekend to make sure they don’t go hungry. You don’t always realize there are needs like that so close to home. We brought so much food it filled an Explorer from the back all the way to the front seats!
