Random pic thread.

So the top picture is what we call “the stick pond!” My grandfather built it in the 80’s I think. Basically they pushed all the trees in piles and built a damn above and along the South Edisto river. The opposite is a hill side along the South Edisto. Here is the opposite side.

Caught 6 small bass today a crappie and a yellow brest brim. All too small and went right back in to grow.
 
Don't need something like this very often, but when you do, there ain't no substitute. Quarter for reference.

I was playing around with 1"NPT tonight.

Yep, 2".

It'll make a nice paperweight for 20 years until I need it again.

Paying job -- and my neighbor paid for the tap because he was in a hurry and in a bind.
 
Used to help a buddy run his woodmizer....lots of fun, if you like hard, manual labor. All I learned is that the operating end is a lot more fun than the off-loading end.

Do you know what engine it has ?
hopefully Mazda 2.2 (hard core die hard) or really lucky a Kubota ( keep the valves adjusted) if it’s got Vortec 2400 start sourcing timing components and cooling system seals and parts. The engine is no longer made some parts are becoming hard to source.

Better then my mom. We had a pen made of chicken wire when we was toddlers. She jokes and brings it up regularly.

I even added a sun shade once the sun got up good. They don't build pack n plays with the outdoors in mind, they need self leveling legs and could do without the mud catching side skirts.

It's killed several trees around my place. But I also have poison vines as big as those........I'll take the pretty less itchy stuff all day.
