Red Oak stanks when it's cut and your hands will too if you grab the cut sides w bare hands while chucking the fresh cut wood.You can wash yer hands and they will still stank.
So how much rot? The last one I was asked to look at the rear frame was horrible, like the whole shackle mount pushed through it.
As far as old 4x4s go not bad. Really just in the lower parts of the fenders. Doors are good rockers are good except one spot.
I might put some armor all on it as a shout out to you.
