Random pic thread.

FJ 40, pulled out behind me, down in Indian Land, SC. He past me & we stopped at 3 traffic lights, but as much as I tried, this is the only pic I got.

So there I was booking it out to see the Mason Jar entrance with my friend Cody and his 91 MJ on 37’s. The ol Jeep was making a new noise underneath. So we stopped and I crawled under ghost to give it a look see. On first glance everything looked good. Grabbed bolts and control arms checking for looseness. Nothing seemed out of place but something was making a new clunk. Then I saw it. A gap a bolt head on a lower control arm. No problem just tighten her up. Hmm that’s weird. Why’s the bolt turning? I’ve got wrenches on both sides.

Funny thing is that didn’t completely fix the “new noises!” Stopped a little further down and found and upper control arm bolt loose. I run a three link. I think the wheeling gods were looking out for me today. Would have been a really bad day way out there with the front axle ripped out.

just bought the wife a ne-used car. Drove about 20 different ones, that came in 2nd (to her)...thought it looked familiar

We hated our Highlander. It just wasnt comfortable to us. We drive to Florida each year and I made it about halfway and started bitching. We eventually got rid of it for an Acura MDX.

Honda FTW. My wife’s new Pilot is the most comfortable veh we’ve ever owned.

different strokes different folks fo sho...the pilot was one of only 2 HELL NOs for us. It and the Atlas were just uncomfortable to me and the wife both.

Funny enough the MDX/RDX were probably 1/2 to me. I was likewise high on the highlander/RX350.
My wife hated the front end on the xDX and the RX350 and just couldnt get over the looks enough to consider...

@McCracken what year was the highlander?

This was a while back but we got it new in 2015. Platinum edition.

Meh, I've run stuff through the rear window at an angle and then out the passenger window.

Hell I did that in my Mazda kast week ;-)

Weird. Was it something specific?

To me the suspension and handling are luxury car level and the seats 1st class. The tech and layout of everything is spot on.

we can lay down the 2nd and 3rd row and it becomes a great hauler LOL despite my wifes eye rolls.
 
Probably just personal ergonomics.
I’m very wide shouldered so comfortable seats are always a challenge, the Honda eldest backs aren’t wide enough and I just remember feeling cramped and perceived the seats to be cheap.
now this was a 18 or 19 not a new one.
And that’s my opinion for me, I’m tickled if y’all love yours for you. Not an argument just starting my perception.
