Random pic thread.

Got the top two torque rod ends replaced today, just have to reinstall them. Took about 15hrs of knuckle busting to get these 2 out. Good news is the 4 lower arms are much easier.

We need a shop tour. I see some cool stuff.
Plant was built in 48 and we still have several original pieces of equipment in the shop. There is a lot of original equipment in our manufacturing area, but due to being a class I division 1 area it's very rare I'm able to snap any pics. Here are a few from some maintenance shutdowns from over the years.

Wish I had a picture of our Kady Mill, it has a 250hp electric motor and can churn out some serious gallons.

Pretty cool, thanks.
No problem, I'll grab some pics of our lathe and mill next weekend.

You could probably tell me more about them than anyone at our plant can. I'm one of the most qualified to run them and all I am comfortable doing is turning them on.We buy everything or have a local machine shop make it 99% of the time.

Check out the shock mount.
Yes, this is real, a guy just bought this 4runner and posted on one of the FB tech pages

Toyota rust damper. Helps smooth the detachment when the rear section of frame falls off. 👍

I see you've toyotad before
Nope, but I went to the Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good And Want To Learn To Do Other Things Good Too :D

Controlling axle wrap from those blocks 😄

Didn't get a after pic today since the bottom dropped out as I was finishing up for the evening but this is where my barn is going. I cleared about 100-120 ft back and about 40 ft wide. Hope to get it mostly finished tomorrow if the weather will cooperate. Shooting for a 120x120 opening to start with and I'll clear more as I get the exact location layed out
