I got some time on the shaper today. 300 thousands depth of cut with a 20 thousands step over. Nice sharp piece of HSS.

Visited the aquarium at Fort Fisher yesterday

Then took the ferry and the kids loved it!

And spent some time on the beach once it cleared up I'm the afternoon.

Played til there wasn't any sun left!

Then did it again today! But due to the dredging and dune rebuilding at Oak Island, it's too steep, and there aren't any tide pools. So we built our own.

Found a dead horseshoe crab

And saw a dolphin in the surf.

Spent a little time helping a friend on his hemi scrambler build.

Heard an angry lawnmower across his runway. So his 86yo neighbor is helping with this little build. It was its first 5 .minute runup.

Yes this plane really is that small. Its powered by half of a vw bug engine, literally.

Snooker doodle= Schnauzer/standard poodle.We're not in to designer dogs but a friend of Tonya's wanted her to have it since we haven't had a dog since we had to put our15 yo Golden down (about three years).She's just 7 months old and and weighs about 65 pounds.We had forgotten how hard puppies can be.

This has to be the most tedious cut on WJ I've made yet. .190" brass inlay inside of black mini tile. This'll end up at the Columbia airport, so I just found out. The tile guy who's installing it just picked it up. I'm glad I'm not him.

No breaks and it fits in your hand nicely with a worn place for your thumb. Maybe it was used as a hand scrape tool?

And here others I found as a kid at either my grandparents field when they plowed it or at boy scout camp. The small square peices we called "Indian money" not sure if that is correct or not.
