Stripped my free hub on Black Mountain today. Pretty much the same thing as breaking your ring and pinion on a 2wd. Luckily, I had climbed 7 miles to the top and was able to coast back down.

Somewhere in the 80s. It was the beginning of Tarheel 4 wh dr. Had a place on Independence near Briarcreek. I'm guessing it was a franchise operated by Wayne & maybe Ron. Probably only lasted a couple years. Then Tarheel opened their own place.
