Got an invite back out to the Komatsu plant to work with some engineers on a little project for the heavy equipment dyno booth (didn't until now know there was such a thing). This is to test the models from a WA270 all the way up to WA500.

Got a dd15 Detroit and a Komatsu 6d105 to rebuild so made this giant ass engine rotator, the otc version is a little prettier but is over $6K...

I thought to myself, I really should just spend this 10 hrs working on the engine rather than building more junk to take up shop space... but wwJMd

I'm doing an adjacent to my county school right now (well in addition to 7 others, but this one in particular) and the DD estimate came in yesterday. It's only a 105k sqft elem school with a $28m budget. SD estate was $36m and DD estimate came in at $58m with an expectation of 2.5X every quarter so now they're pushing US to finish 3 months early so they can get ahead of the other schools bid date 🤦‍♂️

This will end in getting shelved and or shit canned all together so my efforts on nights and weekends will be for nothing. So my GAF is somewhere in the same vicinity as the person who ordered that sign

Its crazy right now. Im bidding a couple of schools right now and im not expecting any of them to make it through. At least not for a while.

Summer is our go time at work and despite this my motivation has been at an all time low. I just cant seem to get fired up about anything anymore. Much for the same reason of knowing most of what I'm killing myself for will mean nothing in the end.

The whole cart rig? It's a Trailblazer 302 that runs on 'pane, with remote feeder and .045 ER70 wire. It welds ok aside from the Bernard gun likes to act funky sometimes.
