Like 3 tractor trailer loads of it.

Had some help in the shop today

So I found a chunk of steel in the yard. Thought it might be a boat weight since it was round and long. Dropped it on the concrete pad and it revealed it was splined on each end. 16” chainsaw for size reference.

That's an MS660 with 36" bar at the base

And that's an 18-20" diameter limb that has disappeared flush into the ground!

So at 3.8ft avg diameter, 25ft, 64lb/ft3 green, that's an 18,000lb straight trunk! Plus all the stuff above the 25ft mark. Probably close to 30k pounds!

Anybody know somebody who buys nice red oak trunks and burls?
