Round 2: Keepin' up with the Joneses, Mud Devils and Tony Woody

It runs. Thank God. The tuner messed with the static timing settings and adjusted it while I was cranking. Got it running and up to temp
But, there's still a ways to go as we didn't nail it all down. He is an LS tuner and unfamiliar with Ford TFI stuff.
Gonna hunt down a localish Ford specialist now and fine tune.
But, at least I know my wiring, mechanicals and such is good. It's all in the tune and settings.

Also laid down the start of the two tone paint. Found a sweet rattle can white that'll be the middle portion on the body. I'll tape off and run the new shade of blue maybe this weekend

I always liked that color scheme on my dad's old K10.

Waiting on tuner to say "drop it off" and I'll pay somebody better acquainted than me to get it dialed in.
People pay me to build axles, I pay others to do fab work and tuning. Fair trade.
Laid down paint on rear fenders and hood. Even have a little creative stenciling on the rear fender :flipoff2:

I’ve yet to see the vintage aluminum camper shell that’s supposed to be going on this thing…

Lemme get the damn thing running first.
Then I'll pay Cutler to build a vintage, dovetailed, bobbed camper shell
I have a solution you can start with. All aluminum not painted and 70's vintage.

Your priorities are all jacked up. My buggy definitely looked good before it ran. Get with the program.

It ran again today for a while. For about a minute or so. I just don't understand the Holley stuff like I thought I would.
Hindsight, I would have went another direction with the EFI control choice. But once it's done, it'll be terrific I know

What did the second tuner say ?

He's booked for another 1-2 weeks. Not a deep pool of folks here locally who are familiar with the Terminator stuff. I'm at the point of wanting it done right and no questions asked.
Turn the key, fire up, load on trailer and wheel.

Tuner #2 flaked.
Tuner #3 is a moderator on a Holley Tech page and is a Ford TFI remote tuner. Located about an hour from here. I'm throwing $$$ at him to come up the mountain and tune it. I simply don't have time to eff around with it and go back and forth.

Hood, fenders and rear quarters are done. Waiting to see if I'm hauling the truck to a tuner before painting the cab and doors.
Hoping for good news this week with the tuner.

It's remarkably difficult to find someone qualified to take my cash and tune this thing.

That give me confidence he knows what he's talking about.
It's just like the mods here when it comes to offroading :D

I got recommendations but it's a long ways away

Could be dealing with crooks and folks who will bail after wiping your engine out.
Look at the bright side haha

You're absolutely correct. I don't want some idiot half assing it. I can do that myself!

All I really want is someone to either:
1- tell me where to haul it to and when when can do it. I'll pay whatever.
2- come by my shop and do whatever it needs and I'll pay whatever.

I just want it done and done right. It's like when people bring my their rig/axle/thirds/whatever and say "it's been at xxxxx shop 3 times and it's still not right." I just fix it, take their $$$ and we're all happy.

Have you contacted Dan at Pro Dyno in fort mill? I used to use him with my saleen. He was very knowledgeable on ford stuff. He used sct products, so I’m not sure how much he knows about the Holley. May be worth a call.
