SHENANIGANS

Closer every trip to Mayberry. On this episode @mcutler shop we knocked out another chunk of soft line. Fuel lines are complete with a FATS vent. Transmission, transfer case, and PCV lines are routed.

Spare front driveshaft is mounted low in the belly, hopefully, where I’ll never need it.

Lastly, got me a certified lesson in CAD (cardboard aided design) and built my first interior panel. Almost ready for my training wheels to come off.

I'm thinking this thing is gonna be(well, already is!) you may not wanna hit and get it for fear of getting it dirty! LOL Brian, this buggy is so sick, Matt may even be envious of it!

It’ll definitely be clean and shiny at least once in its lifetime. Don’t mistake “pretty” for “princess” though. I eagerly await the first flop or roll. Envious isn’t a word that I’d ever associate with Matt. More like pride. I’m sure you already know, but Matt pours his soul into everything that rolls through his shop. I like the phrase “whole ass!” because Matt can’t half-ass anything.

“Slippery as a buttery nipple” is how AR plate was described to me years ago. That’s why we repurposed my S10 belly pan and cut it down to fit the buggy. Nuts and bolts for the boat sides and welded on studs for the belly.

Hydraulic lines are routed. Only a few sections of hard line remain after fittings arrive later this week.

Last picture shows a little TIG action for the suckdown tabs on the D60. Lots more in progress, but not quite picture worthy yet.

No flow divider nor pressure regulator before the hydroboost ?

You'd be the first person I know to try it like that. You're about to send 15+GPM and 2000PSI in the return circuitry. I'm not sure it will hold.

The man smarter than me has been on the phone with the men smarter than him and this is what we’re being told.

Well, can’t wait for you to try cause I’ll have plenty of questions !
I will say that my rear steer valve has the regulator made into it. That’s about the extent of my knowledge on the subject.

@BigSouth you got a lot of updating to do

Didn’t realize anybody on here was still following along, but here goes some progress pics. @mcutler worked his magic on the interior. I wasn’t present for much of this because I’d only be in the way or just watching anyway.

@Bebop helped a brother out and setup my Holley dash, loaded up a base tune, and programmed my SwitchPro.

After laying down some sweet Rustoleum Titanium Silver on the chassis, it was time for final assembly. Matt dreamt up this F’n awesome hood!

In the downtime, waiting on powder coat to come back, I got fancy with a HF rifle case and organized my replacement axle shafts.

Precision Powder of NC layed down probably the best looking coating I’ve seen on the interior panels. I can’t even take credit. Matt pulled the sample out of a bundle and said “this would look cool”. I couldn’t argue.

There’s still a few finishing touches to do before she’s done, but this is how I left her last week. Decals are on and Matt has a few more of his logos to find a home for. The date is set for 11/29 to strap her to the dyno and try not to send pistons to the moon.

That is bad ass!
Yep, I just re read the whole thread. A lot of work. A lot of details worked and reworked to perfection or as close as humanly possible. Outstanding effort by all involved. Nice to see this caliber of build and the owner have this much input as well!

I appreciate the kind words. It’s been a journey to say the least. Hopefully Monday we get the drivers side all buttoned up and I can finally get some good pics of the interior fully assembled. A couple cool details in there that I haven’t shared just yet.
