Toyota Monster Truck

I am now on to the exhaust system and the interior. I am in the process of collecting Speedometer, Tach, etc..... I picked up an hour meter on ebay today. It is dusty but basically brand new (total including shipping was 24 bucks). I also have a new speedometer in route. I will post pics as soon as it arrives..... I hope to have my exhaust completed early next week and then I will take it to my Ceramic Coating guy.

I got a little more done this week. I made a mount out of some scrap steel I had for my Hydraulic Motor (rear steer set-up). It is mounted up high and out of harms way......Hopefully

Still working on the exhaust system. Not real crazy about the down pipe I designed. I will post some picks when it is done. I am still collecting gauges. I only need a temp gauge and a Oil Pressure gauge and this should do it.........

I ended up finishing up the exhaust system this morning. I made my own down pipe. I also had everything ceramic coated. I wanted to go with machine grey on the pipe but was told the down pipe would get too hot for the paint. I ended up going with the aluminum color because it is the most heat resistant.

I could not fit the pipe through the inside of the frame rails like I had intended. With the 4-link set up and the huge C-6 trannie there was no way.....

I had to run the pipe as shown. If I crush it no problem. This set up comes apart and three sections so I can replace as needed.

I got a little done yesturday. Made the top mount for the Radiator. I will be making the bottom mounts later in the week. I got most of my lower mount pieces cut just need to weld them up.... Going back to work today :(

I also finished putting my axle drive flanges on and finished bolting up and tightening down all the four link bolts.

Hook stack sounds good. I wish I were done. I have not had the time to mess with it at all lately. Hopefully I can get back on it soon. This might be the longest build ever.....

Trust me, with the detail work that you are putting in this rig, it will be worth every second that it takes to build it.

Keep up the good work.

I am using a lift gate style electric pump. Do I need a relief valve or is one built into the pump? I think got everything else I need. I am going to wire the pump to the battery and mount a toggle switch in the cab so I can turn the pump on and off as needed. I am going to use a hydraulic control valve (as pictured) to turn the wheels.

Needed an 8 grove pulley for my PSC pump. Found this off a ford v-10. Going to have to take it to the machine shop to bore the shaft hole size out a little bit. It is also a little smaller than the PSC pulley which is what I wanted to compensate for the lower RPM Cummins
