Toyota Monster Truck

No updates yet. My wife just delivered our baby girl on my birthday of all dates. I have been a little side tracked, but plan to get back to work on it soon..........

I think the hi-lift fits with the snorkel :flipoff2: I'm also waiting to see the rope ladder slider mod haha. This is what little kids dream about and I love it. Where abouts are you in charlotte? I'm near UNCC and I'd love to see this monster in person

Rear ROCKWELL

I got the rear mount for the steering ram welded up today. It still needs to be cleaned up a bit with the grinder. I beefed it up quite a bit. I plan on adding another gusset to the front Ram mount as well........

Finally, got the chunk turned 180 degrees, holes-drilled, tapped, and sealed.

I have also been collecting hydraulic steering parts. I almost have everything I need for the front and rear steer. I still need lines, and a few other odds and ends.....

Thanks! I have planned the rear steer set up for a while now. Lack of funds has just slowed me down a bit. But, it does seem to get more and more complicated. I had no idea what I was getting into from the start of this build. I will get it finished sooner or later.......

Where are you George??? I need to see an update.:gitrdun:

man this thing is going to be awsome cant wait to see it done.

No updates yet Robert, Thanks for checking on me! Your 4runner keeps getting better and better. I have too many projects going on right now. I should have my T-Case back soon. I ran into a few issues with it and it had to go back to the machine shop.

Southern, thanks for the comment!

George

If you need any help installing the T-Case (or anything else), let me know. If I am in town I'll be glad to help.

Thanks, I think I will be OK there. I will propbably need your help with wiring in the guages and a few other things. Also not sure what kind of guages to get. I want to set my dash board up like the way you have yours.

Got some motivation last week. I finally broke down and installed an AC unit in the garage, no excuses now? Right..... I also got a few other projects out of the way so I am back on the YOTA again.

I assembled the Chunk, top hat, disc brake, and 4-link bars. I still need to replace the knuckle boots and paint the knuckles, hubs and a few other things.

I bought the pinion brake kit (brackets) on ebay a while back. The rotors I bought from summit and the callipers are 1986 Toyota Style Callipers that I bought from PEP Boys. I didn't want to spend a fortune on the brakes and these turned out nice. I really wanted Overson's Kit but just couldn't swing it.

Thanks, I've got the same (?) on My '79 Bronco with 53s on rocks (for sale on here). Caliper is clocked different. I was just trying to ID the rotor and rotor bracket. I like that set-up.
Awesome Build you got going on there!!!

Thanks! My set up is clockable. If you need a part number on the rotor, caliper, or specifics on the brake kit itself let me know and I will dig them up.

Got a little done on the 4th before heading out for work. I got the rear driver-side boot, hub and wheel installed........

This is not the first time someone has asked me that.......... You reminded me to add some more info. I measured the truck yesturday. It is 100 inches wide 8'5". It measures 8'2" tall. My garage door is approx 108 inches wide and 8ft tall. I hope that if I let a little air out of the tires I will be able to sqeeze out. Also the rear steer should help get the truck lined up to get through the door a little easier. I guess we will see..... I am like the crazy old man that builds the sail boat in the basement and then has to take the house apart to get the sail boat out.....
