Went into the hairpin by the pond a little hot. I grabbed the cutting brake trying to drift around the corner and it didn't drift, it slide into a root which immediately stopped the drift and rolled the buggy over quickly. The pond was pitch black and I was upside down, window nets up, harness an helmet on. I got out of my harness , got the drivers window net down and realized I couldn't get out that way because of the bank of the pond was so close to the window. I would estimate I was in 6-8 ft of water. I then went towards the passengers net in somewhat of a panic, and since my body was now right side up I was pulling on the wrong end of the window net. I finally got it down and swam towards the surface. I have no clue how long I was down there but it seemed like a decent amount of time. I remember my only thought was "damn, these people put on a race and I'm going to fuck it all up by drowning". Luckily it wasn't my day to vacate this place. So there's your story, I've told it a bunch, believe it or not I'm got some that rank worse than that, I've been exceptionally lucky in my life.
