So we have a lot of threads with pictures, but how about one that shows something that was not supposed to happen.

When I went to pick up my excavator the guy's driveway was tight for the ram limo and 40' trailer. Made the turn and everything was going good until it wasn't.

The back of the trailer bottomed out and lifted the tandems causing it to pivot on the rear of the trailer. Before I realized it the trailer was in the guy's ditch up against a t post.

Most, if not all, of these explanations start with: "Well, you see, what haaahappened was..."

Was one of the races over at uwharrie stables, can't remember exact details but he missed the turn and flipped into the pond. Luckily he got out quickly and everyone was ok.

@BIGWOODY racing at Uwharrie stables years ago. Ended up in the pond. Was one of the scarier moments I’ve seen in racing.

Dang! Glad he was ok. Guess if he’d been knocked out while flipping that could have been terrible. I was expecting something humor-able like “we were goofing off and it came out of gear” kinda thing.

Nope, it was a real eye opener for a lot of us.
That was one of the first races and a lot of things had not been thought out. There was a hairpin turn just at the pond that was just begging somebody to overshoot. IIRc he luckily had a knife handy and cut the harness off.

An interesting fact about this picture.
One of the orange shirt dudes on the left is me.
Another one is now my SIL.
No shit...
well that narrows it down :)

Ima need the story on this...
Went into the hairpin by the pond a little hot. I grabbed the cutting brake trying to drift around the corner and it didn't drift, it slide into a root which immediately stopped the drift and rolled the buggy over quickly. The pond was pitch black and I was upside down, window nets up, harness an helmet on. I got out of my harness , got the drivers window net down and realized I couldn't get out that way because of the bank of the pond was so close to the window. I would estimate I was in 6-8 ft of water. I then went towards the passengers net in somewhat of a panic, and since my body was now right side up I was pulling on the wrong end of the window net. I finally got it down and swam towards the surface. I have no clue how long I was down there but it seemed like a decent amount of time. I remember my only thought was "damn, these people put on a race and I'm going to fuck it all up by drowning". Luckily it wasn't my day to vacate this place. So there's your story, I've told it a bunch, believe it or not I'm got some that rank worse than that, I've been exceptionally lucky in my life.
