You're pulling on it with your finger, I would say you were close to maxing it out
That's what she said. You're pulling on it with your finger, I would say you were close to maxing it out
I did however remove about 10# of malamute fur from the carpetIf I know you, the pup in in the back seat wasn't part of the deal. @Atla got himself a fine deal!
I take it you didn't see the hole in the block yet?
Sweet!
Been there done that!Foxbody speedometer cable. Pain in the anus. View attachment 316653
It wouldn’t have been so bad but the motor isn’t the stock one and it sits back a little closer to the firewall. The speedometer firewall hole is dead behind the upper intake with about 2” of clearance. I had to run the cable between the upper and lower intake and fish it through a blind hole. It got bound up just inside the hole. It’s impossible to reach from the floorboard as well. Had to run a long 1/4” extension up from the floorboard to wiggle it while my buddy pushed the cable. Finally got it through. Got it wound up under the hood till Saturday morning when I swap in the T5. Hope that goes smoothly.Been there done that!
Made it legal today. Now a $13.60 inspection and transferring the tag off my blown-up Hyundai, and I'll be riding my own ride again.
Been almost two weeks since two broken belts wrapped around the crank on my 04 Hyundai and melted their way through the plastic timing cover to get between the belt and gear and make pistons hit valves.....

It gets better.....When I read your post about your belts wrapping around the crank causing pistons to hit valves, I thought to myself there goes one of the most unluckiest SOBs I’ve ever heard of. How the hell does that happen?
Hooooolllllyyy crap what a pain in the ass that swap was. Working on a car that someone before you “modified” always brings surprises. Things like 4 bolts holding on the old bell housing, random things tack welded, different size bolts holding things together that should be the same, hacked up trans tunnel. Got literally everything together only to find the clutch cable is the wrong one. It says it’s for my year, but it runs out of adjustment. It’s too long. I shimmed the hell out of it just to take it for a spin. Works fine but I’ll order the right stuff Monday.View attachment 316740 View attachment 316741 New transmission going the in the fox. Much thanks to a couple of good buddies and a neighbor with a lift.
