What have you done to your rig today?

Finished the trimming needed to get the truss to set down properly…. Now to burn the truss in. Breaking down one seat of wheels and tires and putting another set together….

Tried to crank up the 6.5L after letting it charge overnight. No luck and the DieHards died. Again. I've about had it with these damn batteries and Advanced won't warranty them, the just say "let's charge them up to see if they come back"
Going to try and pull them regardless, maybe they'll warranty this time around. Anyone got any recommendations for halfway decent batteries? I would love a pair of Odysseys since I run a Group 78 in my red truck and it hasn't let me down, I damaged the old one and got it warrantied with no hassle, but I can't afford to drop $700 for a pair of them yet

These are awesome and have a built in tester that floats a green ball if it’s good and red if it needs new acid. If you leave it sitting longer than a week at a time you should get a deep cycle

I'll look into those! I don't see if they're offered in a side post configuration though.
I'm hoping to start daily driving the truck, at least I've been saying that since I finally got it started up and got the major issues taken care of. I just keep running into the inconveniences of reviving a junkyard truck and dealing with life during the holidays.

That drivers door... For some reason I can't stop looking at it. Has to be a good story there and yet it appears to still close properly. Trail scars are cool.

@Van-go drives by Braille…and the hinge pins are shimmed with a 1/2” bolt so it still closes. 🤣

Exit of cripple creek at the ranch. Rock jumped out to say hello to me.

Got tired of looking at my waggy 44. Time for it to go in the CYJ. Made a big Rock auto purchase for wear items and seals today for this 44, dana 60 front, and 14 bolt rear for my 71 k20.

Sanny Claws snagged me a set of mirrors when he was in China.....got them put on this evening. Mounted up a set a tires I picked up from @Jason W. awhile back on some stock steel wheels a couple nights ago. I was hoping to run some '70s Era redline Dodge dogdish hubcaps I dug out of my father-in-law shed but only found 3 of them. I've only got 3 of the stock center caps as well but should be cheaper and easier to find for now.

I've gor several sets of the chromed center caps that fit aluminum 3rd gen wheels. Do they also fit the steelies? If so, you can have a set of them.

It had stock chrome wheels on it....here's the center's that were on them. I did pop one on to verify they actually fit. I'd definitely take one though.

Washed it, put on a coat of glaze, and then ceramic coating. My shoulders are wore TF out, but DAMN...it looks good to be over 20 years old with almot 344,000 miles on it! 😍 I REALLY need to replace that bumper cap or find an aftermarket winch bumper that actually looks good...
