What have you done to your rig today?

Better than my night….. had my crawler hauler in a bad spot, then packed junk trucks around it. Took a hour to wiggle it out since the skid steer is down waiting for pushrods. Popped a tire. Had to replace fuel line in jeep. Still got a bit to go lol 😂
Damn man. Yeah to hell with that. This is self inflicted too but not like that lol

The TC is locking and unlocking like it's slipping, which causes timing to advance and retard resulting in the truck misfiring. Truthfully the misfire has been an ongoing problem recently. It's always had a little shudder to it but here in the past few years it's gotten worse. After 30 or 45 minutes of driving 45-50 MPH it does it, and it's minutes for it to occur if you're driving 60 or 70; here's a log I pulled a while back via HPTuners when I was troubleshooting it; I've been pulling my hair out for some time trying to figure it out.

I'm also getting a PO751 code; which is a Transmission Shift Solenoid A code? That code has always been in truck since I owned it but never triggered a DTC light, I can only see it on a fancy scanner or my HPTuners scanner

Inversely, the timing swing will also cause the converter to lock and unlock. How's the distributor drive gear?

Most likely wiring or a switch/solenoid of some kind. I'd replace the internal wiring harness and pressure manifold, if it has one, and both solenoids. Definitely check the VSS and output of the transfer case too.

Last time it was apart the drive gear still had a lot of meat on it. It's been some time though; I've got a billet dizzy to swap in. I'm gonna spring for the ACDelco kit that has the internal harness and solenoids; 1-2, 2-3, TCC/PWM and the pressure manifold.
Someone told me to check the selector switch on the side of tha trans too? Apparently those can get a short in them? I have a bunch that switch is the reason my D321 lights don't show up on the cluster.

Yep. An NSBU would be a good idea too.

I mean, it’s just uwharrie right?!
Hell yeah brother! LFG!
