Anyone make boat ramp?

Not even close. @Stuntman Autoworks made it the furthest, but no where near the top (not talking trash). There was quite a bit more water than when we were there last time.
The ledge above it may be worse than Boat Ramp itself now.
Just up the trail about 500' is an entire hillside called Backside. Super steep climbs with ledges, slabs, etc. A lot like School Bus at Tellico.

What gives on Boat Ramp? I've seen videos of a TJ on 38 Falken's crawl it then videos of rock bouncer beat the snot out of there rig and not make it half way.

Got some more work done on the horunner tonight. Got a question. I wrapped a large ratchet strap around the axle and frame and compressed the springs to where I think is the max it should compress. Does it look right to y'all? Seems to me like I've seen pictures of the boomerang shackles tucked into the body mounts and mine didn't move too much.

I'm trying to figure out where to mount my shock hoops and didn't want them to bottom out. With the axle there I have 4.5" of exposed shaft on the shock. Leaving 7.5" for down travel from there. Just doesn't seem right in my head. But I'm a noob so that's why I ask.

Your shock and tire will compress more under articulation, than straight compression. Also, the leaf can go inverted as well. 4.5" might still be too much, but if you dont have more than 7.5" down, you should be ok where you're at.

I'd use 2 c clamps for proper holding power

I'd take the leaf spring pack apart only leaving the main leaf put in a spacer to take up where the other leafs would be and bolt the axle on. It should be light enough to jack up one side at a time to check for clearances. Don't forget to put the wheel tire combo on and check clearance at full stuff wit the other side at full droop and turned full lock left and right. You don't want to be getting into the shock shock hoop or steering after you've welded everything in.
 
More non-4x4 work

Waiting on the parts fairy for a few misc odds and end so we started on the interior....

54 years and the last 24 being under my fatass has done a number on my seats. New foam and some fresh covers will be going back on later.

If you need more lift than a floor jack can get you leave the droop side wheel off and put the bumped side wheel on and pick up with an engine hoist.
 
Crunk it up this morning when it was cold (37), saw how much steam comes from underneath while it's warming up. I thought it looked pretty cool but maybe I need to finish routing the exhaust all the way out the back.
