What have you done to your rig today?

@CasterTroy Totally Awesome FTMFW! This seat on my Toro has been mildew covered and grime ridden for a few years. I tried Purple Power, bleach water, lemon juice, vinegar, Dawn Power Wash….. nothing touched it. The grime was sort of inside the material somehow. I wish I had taken a before picture but most people have seen a yellow JD seat with that stuff “in” the cover, it was like that.

I am flabbergasted. I will only buy Totally Awesome going forward, it makes Purple Power look like a little baby back bitch.

Changed the oil in Angie’s Pilot. This was the first time I had done it, it gets free service at Autopark Honda but she is tired of the hard sell they always try for extra services or for her to trade. She always replies with “show me where Honda recommends that” 😁

Anyway I was pleasantly surprised how easy the filter is to get to and was done in 15 minutes. Checked all the tires, blew out the air and cabin filters and bada bing we done.

Washed the 4Runner. I have new sway bar end links for it to reinstall the bar. It rides better without but sometimes it gets sketchy on certain roads. Too hot already for that today so a few pics and we done.

Sway bar back on the 4Runner.

Fuel filter swap on the Ram.

Shop refrigerator fixed. Apparently Samsung is known for the evaporator freezing up and the freezer will be cold but not the refrigerator. Supposed to take it all apart and ain’t nobody got time fo dat. Just unplugged it overnight with a fan on it. Working fine as of lunch today.

Made a run to Rimer Salvage and scored a set of tailgate straps to replace the crusty cables;

Night and day difference, feels rock solid now. Ever since the other cable broke when I was standing on the tailgate I've been wanting to get away from them. Anyone who owns and works an OBS Chevy absolutely needs this upgrade.
Also rustled up some hardware I was missing, finally got the skid plate installed back on this truck. Starting to become a complete vehicle now!

5 degree caster, 1/8 toe in, within 1/32 centered, side to side wheelbase within a 1/32 as close as a tape-measure can do. Put the real tires on it aired to 30 and sent her.

First off, my trans controlled by terminator x max with art carr shifter is currently not set up for drive, so you have to click between gears. I also don’t have a speedo. So, 2300rpm in 4th is roughly 70, first speed test and I don’t think I’ll be doing much highway driving without a top😂

The hydro boost sponginess is gone, must’ve just needed cycled to bleed out airView attachment 440504View attachment 440505
Went 1 full turn out on the lowers, 6.5 degrees rides slightly better, and I got the upper jam nuts tightened that helped too🤦‍♂️

Trying to stay on a roll with knocking out little stuff; I'm tired of tripping over both the B&W hitches for my trucks so I got them wire wheeled, rust converted, and primed. Hoping to get them painted next weekend.
Only grabbed a picture of the longbed one but I'm pleasantly surprised how well it turned out for how it looked before.

I may sand it once more and hit it with another coat of filler primer before paint
The shortbed hitch has some pitting, so it'll definitely need a couple more coats of filler primer but overall they're coming out really nice!

Just call me Mr. Motivation 😅

Planning moves and putting stuff in my Amazon cart…

Goofing around with some stuff; finally got some SEM interior paint and got my pillar gauge painted to match the interior in the K3500; it looks a little darker in the picture, but in person it's a perfect match!
Still need to pony up for gauges, I'd love a set of Autometer factory match, but I can get my hands on Glowshift gauges a lot cheaper. Decisions, decisions

Gave the red truck a quick wash, working on getting the PTM fender flares done up but the weather hasn't exactly cooperated for painting big stuff.

Got new tags .... yippee.

That's me with my expired license. Can't get an appointment and don't have 5hrs to stand in line. Oh well
I think they just gave you a 2 year extension.

Reduced the K10 a little more; going to pull the tank, fuel lines, and brake lines off to get the frame painted all nice and purdy

I've got a new cab on the hook, just need to pull it and do a little rust repair on it; I'm eyeing a new bed too but nothing concrete yet. I'm hoping to have a body on it before winter, then in the spring build a drivetrain for it. Slow going but still going

Wood splitter got some love today.

Starter gear wasn’t bad after all, just needed lube 😀

New battery, new fuel lines

Drained gas, new gas

Fixed key switch

New throttle cable

Ready to go!
