what we doin while the wind and rain be happenin...

We begin a regularly scheduled refueling outage at the plant Saturday. So Sunday I’ll start my rotation, 4-on, 2-off, flip-flopping between day shift and night shift.

Mandatory call back starting tonight, my shift reports tomorrow at 7am for 12 hours then Saturday morning at 7am for 36. Normal shift of 24 hours Monday where we will re evaluate staffing needs to see if if we can return to normal operations. Wife has to work Fri Sat Sun nights but may go in tonight and just stay the duration.

Looking for the flashlights I can't find, that'll probably turn up about 5 minutes after the power comes back on.
I finally found a flashlight I’ve been looking for probably 6 months. It’s a surefire that I won’t disclose what I paid for it. Impulse buy. I’m serious when I say you can signal the space station. Insanely bright. It’s IR as well. Used it for work and IR under night vision is just as bright. As you can tell I’m excited I’ve found my prized overpriced flashlight. Good luck finding yours.

Ha thanks...I went through a 'flashlight phase' as well...have a blue cooler bag with a dozen different overpriced lights...somewhere. So if I find one, I'll find them all. Perhaps motivation to clean the garage.

Reminds me of chillin to this song.

Would that be McGuire#2?

I'll be working from our Huntersville Ops Center fielding transmission outage calls across the state.
With the storm's shift, I'm now second guessing myself if it would've been smarter to stay in Raleigh...but at least I'm closer to family & can help out if trees fall.

My cousin always manages to "lose" one or two every time he gets stationed somewhere else.... :D

That's the ONLY body style Dodge I've ever thought looked decent
Not only does it look great, it sounds great too. It's not loud, but it just sits there and rumbles.

You guessed it.

My normal five day shift starts tomorrow. But I was just informed we are working twelves instead of 10.5 hours and the entire opposite shift has to come as well. We were also told to bring extra clothes, food and be prepared to stay overnight.

Not bad in Greenville yet. Just finished cutting the grass and looking for other things to keep me busy outside before cabin fever sets in.

Headed west dark and early to finish bush hogging. Better late than never. Could have been done if current dipshit future BIL hadn't broken a water spigot with the dozer last weekend.

Just got a p80 to work on. Got about 2 lbs of green peanuts to boil. I plan on making a big pot of chili tomorrow. I plan on wheeling in my golf cart some to check on the water levels.

Getting cloudy and I guess you could say breezy but inconsistent east of Columbia. I’ve already got cabin fever. Completed a few projects now I’m thinking about making a trip to Lowe’s. I need beer anyway. I’ve got some shine that I’ve had for probably 6-8 months with cinnamon sticks floating in it. Never even tried it. Probably break it out this evening. I’m a little worried it’s gonna be cinnamon flavored jet fuel. More to follow.

been digging trenches and throwing the dirt against the house to direct the water around it and then down to the corner of my property. Neighbor's wife ( she is Filipino) is digging a defense in depth trench system as per Quartermaster General Erich Ludendorf's orders along the back of her house. The big plus to that was she was sweatin in a white t-shirt and no bra...smoking a cigarette...throwing dirt...and threatening her chickens in spanish. Gotta love Merica.

What’s plan for the burb? Resto?

Originally bought it for parts for my Blue 454 GMC Suburban that I plan on restoring. Its already in pretty great shape but I want to convert it to 4x4 with this frame. Got the Chevy kinda running but looks like it needs fuel injectors. Might end up selling it if i can fix it cheap, who knows. Just another project I don't have time for..:driver:
