Local forecast calling for 5-8" on Saturday, 8-12" Sunday. And changing to rain Monday. That will be the most we have had here in several years if it comes in at the minimum predicted.. I guess I should bring my generator to the shop and get it going. That and put the front driveshaft back in wifey s zj, since that lucky guy @336wheeler now has my xj. What y'all doing to prepare?

Believe it when I see it, here near Charlotte we are always on the fine line of white out or just rain. It's always fun when they totally miss it and we get hammered. All the 4 wheelers and jeeps are gassed up just incase we have snow rules.

Gonna go get some much needed new wipers for the Suburban, air the tires down from tow mode, Top off it's 45 gallon tank, check all fluids and so on.
Then to grocery store to get a few things, try to get some firewood in, if the rib will allow me to,
Then wait.

The gens are ready, and have fuel ready too. So, should be good to go

Lucky for me, I have to work Saturday and Sunday. Truck is ready with brand spankin new tars. Extra weight in the bed. Coveralls in the backseat. Snow boots by the door. Generator is all gassed up and waiting with an extra tank of fuel ready. Kids have already drug out the sleds, snow gear, and gassed up their go-carts. Donuts will occur in my yard, rain or snow!

Now you've insured a heavy rain

Stage the generator, fill up a few cans of gas, get some groceries and beer, and air down the tires on our snow worthy vehicles

I’m planning to take this rare opportunity to hit Uwharrie on Sunday in the Jeep if it actually snows like they say. I’ve always wanted to do some snow wheeling, hoping I get the chance!

I'm supposed to run a half marathon in Huntersville this Saturday.

So... I'm okay with missing that.

But I love the sudden mass rush for bread and milk from the same people who live off Little Debbie Cakes and beer the rest of the year.

New tires on the front wheel drive beater....it'll be gone in a day or two.
I'm fine being confined that long. Errr- in my shop.

I've got a shitbox cherokee on 33's with a welded diff and good heat... So I'm pretty hype for shenanigans.

You'll be fine, we're not supposed to get snow (I don't think) until the small hours on Sunday.

But, it will be cold and rainy probably.

If this goes down, I'm gonna be that guy that everyone wonders how dafuq they can be so ill prepared. At first didn't believe it, rigs are in storage, semi-torn down, grocery stores are actively emptying, loaned out my portable generator during the hurricanes, but can't remember to who. So I'll be grilling half thawed tater tots over my natural gas fire place by cell phone light.
