Winter Storm

Just got put on standby for randolph county ems and 911 services as driver and rescue rig!!!!

Middle South Carolina is scheduled for heavy/freezing rain and severe thunderstorms or some shit by tomorrow.

Generator is empty (usually have 50+ gallons of Diesel for it). About the only thing with more than a 1/4 tank of gasoline is the camper. Don't think there is much propane for the grill or heater either.

Did get bread and milk today, and have 3 guiness in the bottle, 2 sweet josies, and about 12 bottles of wine. I'm good.

I put the plow on the truck and made sure it was full of fuel.

Preparing right now

It's good to have managers in CLT that call off work on site 2 days in advance and have us "work" from home Friday due to pending bad weather

:)

Yall think yall got it tough....

I've been in Cancun all week for work. Was supposed to fly back tomorrow and they cancelled our flight.
Now I have to stay another night here and fly home Saturday. Work is picking up the tab. Its an all inclusive with (free) liquor dispensers in the room and my liver might not make it another day...and even if I do it will be 88 tomorrow and Ill be dehydrated and sweating...

Yall bitching about a lil snow and it might actually kill me!

Happened to Bri and I on the way back from our honeymoon from Aruba. We got to spend 3 more days in Aruba due to weather. Would have been nice if work picked up the tab but we enjoyed the added days and excursions. :)

Did get some waterproof boots. Last time I went snow wheeling my feet got wet, rather they were comfy. lol.

Everything's fueled up, I keep the fridge/freezer/pantry stocked & got clothes from a job I did in Canada so I'll be toasty down to well below zero. Took the dog out this morning and it looks like a little over an inch of snow on the ground, but no ice. They've closed our Raleigh office, and just heard the Huntersville office is too; if I wasn't on call I'd spend all day using the 4wheeler as the neighborhood ski lift again or trying to pop some coyotes.

Just got put on the list to transport nurses to and from work here at the nursing home here in town where my daughter works. Jeep is sitting on full and so is the pantry/fridge. Propane for the camp stove and kerosene for the backup heat. We're good to go. So far we got a couple inches of snow and now we got the freezing rain coming down. This oughta be real fun.

Topped off the Jeep with gas yesterday, and the kids are off from school. Looks like we'll be sledding as soon as they wake up. :)

Went to the dealer for scheduled service at 7:30AM, a guy asks me if he could help me. "Yeah, I have an appointment?" Blank stares for a minute. "So I guess you are closed today." Shrugs. "Can I re-schedule?" "Sure," he says.

A courtesy phone call would have been nice to keep me off the roads.

Raleigh is going to be a disaster later, it keeps vacillating between ice and freezing rain. The roads are not great right now but hardly anyone is on them.
