Winter Storm

Yea we have around 34000 in nc and sc on duke energy system. We are working down in shelby lawndale area. But there are crews every where

Up to about a foot and snowing as hard as it can. Just pulled out two cars, two jeeps and a duramax with the cruiser.

There is guys shredding around on side by sides everywhere! I love a good snow!
 
This winter storm is terrible paid day to stay at the house, bottle of wild turkey 101 and a big pot on the stove. Just how am I supposed to survive?
 
I got off work only because napa called and said they were closing. Broken tree limbs everywhere on the way home. Probably more than quarter inch of ice between Fayetteville and Lillington. No power at home.
 
Went in to work at normal time. 9am get email from the plant manager who didn't cancel work saying he isn't coming in. Sure glad you made everyone come in and you can't make it in. 11am they decide we are closing at 12. To top it off they tell the hourly employees "Thanks for coming in to work, you have to leave at 12 because we are closing. Oh and by the way if you want to get paid for the rest of the day you have to take a half day of PTO".

I been stuck in the hospital eating garbage, that sure looks good!

Wife nearly had a seizure early this morning, so we've been here all day and they are keeping her overnight. Not how we wanted to spend a snow day!

Where is this at? They were calling for up to 18 inches where I'm at (bottom of blowing rock mt) but lucky to have 5 right now
 
Nothing but cold rain here. Somehow we (here in Chatt) have completely been missed by the "storm." We watched the radar through the day and watched as it kept hitting the mtns and splitting around us.

Still holding out hope that we'll wake up to a nice thick blanket of the stuff, but I'm not holding my breath.

Plenty of groceries,four cyl's of propane,and 10 gals of gas for the gen.The blazers got a bad injector,Gotwood sold me an XJ w wore out tires,my 3+3 needs a fuel pump,and my psd is 2wd.Guess Ill be ridin the wifes Nissan.
