Winter Storm

I keep a pantry like a Mormon, so unless it happens on a Monday, after a particularly busy weekend where the kids guzzle all the milk or we gobble up all the loaf bread, I don't shop for bad weather.

There's about 1/2" of sleet on the ground here and still falling.

Pushing 5+ inches and steady snow. The ride this morning and the Chief in its element!!
 
I'm confused here, most gas stations remain open during snow so why does does everyone top off their tanks? It'll all be gone come Sunday east of the mtns. Couple inches of mix here and sleeting heavily.

Thomasville has a 1/2" with barley a little sleet and freezing rain coming down. Don't seem like much.

Had to venture out early to take my wife to the hospital, might be pretty bad by the time we leave.

Because gas pumps don't pump if there's no electricity! If Fayetteville gets the .25-.5" ice they're calling for widespread outages could be common.

So far freezing rain and some sleet is all we got in Fayetteville.
 
I'm at work[emoji20] so far there's only been an oil change come in to the shop and the boss is walking around all pissed off at the idiots scared of a little rain.

hmmmmm, no shop today. time to catch up on paper work.
 
Filled up the Dodge then came in to work and called people who said, "If someone would come pick me up I would come in". An hour later they were regretting that comment.... Hate to be that guy but c'mon, we have work to do!
 
I'm stuck at home...plenty of food, plenty of gas...no 4x4 at this time. I wanna get out and ride the roads, but I'm grounded and going crazy. Time for some sledding adventures.
 
Not much going on here. May have had 2" of snow this morning, now it is sleet. Went for a ride through town and the roads are slick now so should be really nasty tonight.

I know 50 were without power in Albemarle due to a collision with a pole, but haven't heard of anything else from our member cities. Out of curiosity, where is this?
