Random Thoughts.....

Why do people feel like they can make their own rules while behind the wheel?
Not using a turn signal, parking in a fire lane, parking in a "customer with child" parking space yet, you have no child. Parking in a handicap spot with no placard to go hit up the Redbox. Getting in a lane that ends just to try and beat everyone in the lane you need to be in only to cut in front of someone at the last second and causing every one to slam on brakes.

It just drives me nuts when people focus on other things except the one thing they should solely be focused on and that's DRIVING!
Because no one has ever punched them in the mouth and explained to them they are an ignorant waste of space.

Why did Lowes and Home depot drive out all the small hardware stores but don't carry shit except to replace the whole thing.
I just wanted a multi turn valve stem rebuild kit.
Associate said yea we aren't a hardware store we are a home improvement store.

Try a Tractor Supply or similar. Still sort of a big box store, but hey tend to have parts like that.

If you need hardware in Charlotte, try Blackhawk Hardware on Park Rd. Not sure if they'd have what you needed for the valve stem, but had a whole draw full of 9/16" fine thread bolts when my NWF flipped D300 shifter kit was missing one. Surprised the heck out of me since that's not a common thread pattern. Just don't say the name too fast if you have the sense of humor of a teenager! :D

HD redeemed themselves. The Rock Hill had them. Bought 4 so i wont have to search for them, for the cost of one replacement valve. Still don't care for the big box store!
Now just gotta look for a dishwasher and a contractor to replace the floor. I'd rather work on my jeep then the floor.

My dish washer does more than wash dishes. Even good at polishing my knob with a spit shine finish. Might check at the local hang outs for one. I heard you can even get then mail ordered from foreign countries! I personally wouldn't buy one sight unseen and they can get more expensive than any other kitchen appliance. Though the good ones are price less and last a life time.

Husband:
My wife is missing.
She went to rescue people from the flood yesterday and has not come home...

Sergeant at Police Station:
What is her height?

Husband:
Gee, I'm not sure. A little over five-feet tall.

Sergeant:
Weight?

Husband:
Don't know. Not slim, not really fat.

Sergeant:
Color of eyes?

Husband:
Sort of brown I think. Never really noticed.

Sergeant:
Color of hair?

Husband:
Changes a couple times a year.
Maybe dark brown now.
I can’t remember.

Sergeant:
What was she wearing?

Husband:
Could have been pants, or maybe a skirt or shorts. I don't know exactly.

Sergeant:
What kind of car did she go in?

Husband:
She went in my Jeep.

Sergeant:
What kind of Jeep was it?

Husband: (sobbing)

economy sort of Hypothetical, rather then posting in the Craigslist Stupidity thread....

If people are becoming so illiterate, close minded, hard to communicate with, and various other examples of lesser adult-ting skills; when do we see the direct impact in local or national economy?

Less skillful intellect in general makes me assume less revenue from higher paying jobs. Excluding the desired to work factor a dumber work force is also a smaller wage earning group. So from that standpoint fewer people can afford goods sold much less luxuries.

End result: A smaller Gross Economy.

Got a deep tissue sports massage at work yesterday, by way of throwing a little over 3 pounds of lead downrange one ounce at a time... :smokin: om-f'n-g I love my job. I'll have to switch to being a wrong handed shooter so I can do the other side next time...

This would make perfect sense, but think of how specialized so many careers have become.

Deep (economic) thoughts: by Jack Handy

[That's one smart cookie]
Jack Handy. Back when SNL was funny. It’s sucked for years.
My favorite was:
“I think the worst part of King Kong coming to your town would be the small kids looking up and seeing the giant genitalia.” Deep thoughts by Jack Handy

It’s damn hard living domesticated, especially when you know what ya missing...
