What have you done for your health today?

Ate some burgers, homemade without bread. This is a sin BTW. Small portion of tater tots.

Second day not doing what I became to loath. I walked away from teaching at the Community College.

I hit the gym pretty hard today.

I'm trying to get my deer jerky made up so I can eat that instead of crap when I'm travelling. I'm sure the sodium is through the roof, but it's better than a bag of chips and is loaded with protein. I see you're from WS....what processor do you use?
I use Randall Berrier down 150 towards Tyro. I'm going to try and make my jerky this year with less sodium. We'll see how that goes.

May I ask how your search for someone to talk to has gone?
Forgive me if you feel this is out of line or anything.

Non needed. I have found a person via the link you provided. Between timing of several things I have a coming appointment.

That's gotta be good for your health.....I know I'd feel a lot better if I could do the same!
I guess I should clarify. I did resign. I didn't burn any bridges. I am looking forward to a new chapter. We will see how the pages turn and the new gets wrote.
As for my health, I've slept and felt mentally better in the last few days just for deciding to do something.

I cut carbs and sweets out mostly on 1/1.

Also started walking to the mailbox. 1.1 miles if I walk down the road past the shop to the back gate, then out to the mailbox, and back to the house. Couple of ups and downs, and will add my pack and weight soon.

240 last week, 237 today. Want to be 190-195.

Today's workout was an all day workout. I cut down more pine trees and spread some sandrock to expand my parking pad beside my shed. I will be doing more pine tree work all day tomorrow.

I’m a believer that any “diet” that excludes food groups is unhealthy and unsustainable.

Eating better (whole foods, no processed foods and appropriate portions) and being more active is the safest and best long term solution.

This is most definitely true. Which is why you see those on fad diets lose weight quick and put it back on as quick. You need to find a menu and routine that works for you to lose weight and also mantain it once you've reached your goal.

Great appt at my chiropractor this am. I'm a believer in chiropractic medicine and it's it's benefits.
Worked hard all day at work and did a ton of physical tasks.
Wrapped up with a very beneficial appt with my therapist. She's excited about this thread and what it's doing for many of you (us).

Continued eating very clean and looking forward a weekly weigh in coming up.

Dropped a couple of pounds since last week's weigh in through diet and exercise. I didn't put it all on in a week, and I'm not going to lose it all in a week. A steady pace that ensures I can maintain the weight loss is ok with me.

I think this is so critically accurate. It’s unreasonable and unrealistic to expect major results from eating well and exercising for a couple weeks to reverse something that has taken years or even decades,,,

It is definitely not "most definitely" true.
Lots of folks stick to lifestyles that exclude certain food groups or types.
WHether thats Keto, Vegetarian, paleo etc.
Lots and many have done it for a decade plus. So to say "its most definitely true" that certain food groups cant be excluded is. by definition, categorically false.

Weigh in 232lbs down to 214 with 23.2 BMI!!! Burnt my damn hand bad at work so gonna be leg day for the next week or so starting 50lb rucks tom 6 Miles aiming for 1hr 30min on a forest service road should be fun in the snow!

19 men got out of the fartsack and braved the 23 degree weather this morning at 0530 to make themselves better. Burpees suck. Suicides suck. So today’s leader decided it would be a great idea to combine them. Read all about it here:

Can you even burpee bro?? Lol that’s awesome cold weather makes it challenging for sure. I’m starting to like burpees until I have to go back up!

Well I stand corrected. Thank you. I should have clarified for those who like to be right. In "my" experience the people I know who use fad diets have ended up fat again in no time. You know people with more will power than I do. Lucky you...
