Cl find of the day

Good point. I bet a decent percentage of them leaks dry before they are ever purchased.....
Dang. I've had my 2.5 ton low profile for at least 8 hard years (used to get dropped out the back of my xj, drug through gravel, etc). It has never leaked.. however I'm going to have to replace it because the heavy lift piston is getting stuck compressed. Never leaked down either - not to say I use a jack to support where stands ought to be used.

Holy fawk. He's smoking something horribly good. Aren't they like $30 on sale? They are light but I'm not so sure about professional. Oh you fix the leak by exchanging it at HF.
Well, that's is the aluminum one, HF lists as "pro", I think its like $150... still, 3x markup isn't a bad margin

Makes me wonder what he paid at auction. Never used, yet leaks oil already? nice

No idea but I’m gonna find out if it’s real or not

It has been listed for sale on craigslist for a few months now, but for a higher price.... I would argue that there isnt much more than $1k worth of parts in it. The engine is like from a chevette or something. d44s, stock from what i could tell. The older ads had more info and repairs.

It is a diesel thing you don't understand. :D I wouldn't take $27,000.00 For my 05 Duramax dually. I paid $52,000.00 for it new and now it has 120,000. miles on it now I will drive it till I die that is the only way I see I will get my money back out of it. I love my truck but I wont pay that for another truck again.

I definitely do not understand the diesel thing.

And for the record, I own a jeep and still dont understand the entire "it's a jeep thing, you wouldnt understand" crap.........

The diesel thing to me is when I am driving or hauling something I do a lot is being able to pass someone or pull a big hill and still do the speed limit all the way to the top without blowing up the engine. I have been known to go on vacation and buy something that I have to haul home done that several times.
We need to start a seperate thread on what the jeep thing means to everyone.

For me its all about the room, were a big bunch, not nessacarily fat but big(er-ish),all three of us.When were out we wanna have room and be comfortable and a 4dr crew 4x in gas is just not as economical as a diesel.Yeah I know all the gas verus diesel arguments but for me that big of a truck has to be diesel. The towing is just an added bouns and I plan to keep a dually for my main tow rig.Im willing to pay for the extra two tires and have to park on the back row to have the extra stability/safety of a dually. Most Jeepers are border line cult memebers.

This. I’m not big but when I get in my 3500 megacab I have room to do WHATEVER I want. Don’t have a place to stay for the night at xyz? Sleep in the truck. Need to tow/ haul something yep that’s checked too without worry. It’s not whether I “need” it, it’s cause I want it and it’s a truck that serves my needs. Done.
