Thank you sir. I thought some kinda fuel shut off if you get too steep an incline when I saw it was mercury lolLMGTFY:
t's the G-Force Sensor used by the 4WABS system.
"Provides the anti-lock brake electronic control module with deceleration
(G-force) information. This information is used by the anti-lock brake
electronic control module to select the anti-lock control program depending on
road conditions. It also provides necessary information for ABS functioning in
4WD."
That weep hole is a fluid passage providing lubrication to the input shaft seal and bearing of the transfer case. You'll want to plug that if you don't want the whole transmission to drain out, or just go ahead and put the tcase back on.Its coming out of this little hole

Ok cool so I'm good to put tcase back on and there's no other seal in there? Thanks budThat weep hole is a fluid passage providing lubrication to the input shaft seal and bearing of the transfer case. The transmission and transfer case share fluids. (I'm pretty sure) ATF. The only seal would be between the transmission and transfer case mounting faces.Ok cool so I'm good to put tcase back on and there's no other seal in there? Thanks bud
I don’t think they share fluids. Usually you RTV the two together. That weep hole allows fluid that made it past the seal to drain back into the transmission pan instead of building up pressure over time. The transmission and transfer case share fluids. That sounds legit. Wasn't quite sure.I don’t think they share fluids. Usually you RTV the two together. That weep hole allows fluid that made it past the seal to drain back into the transmission pan instead of building up pressure over time.
But there's no seal at the back of trans like I'm used to seeing at all. You can see the drum inside the trans so clearly fluid must flow through there and its kept out by the tcase gasket as you mentionedI don’t think they share fluids. Usually you RTV the two together.
