Working in a machine shop for years I can no shit eyeball thicknesses and diameters within a couple thou just about every time. I still measure the fuckin part though. I don't believe for a minute that squatting next to a truck you can eyeball pinion angle to a degree, I also don't know how you could own a fab or mechanic shop without and angle finder.
Just when you seem like you're doing well you say some dumb cocky shit like this and ruin a thread.

Can't tell you the number of times when there have been a dozen people standing around convinced that something wasn't plumb. They'd round up three or four different levels, because the first two were definitely wrong. :lol:

Its really not that hard for me, I just know angles. I got good at it and always came natural. As for shop work, I've never needed an angle finder till now I guess lol. I built a pretty sweet cage without one for a customer, never did I wish I had one.
But now I own a good one and can use it to verify my "eye" hehe

Digital angle finder is invaluable for many reasons. One very big one is for reference. You don’t always need to find a true angle, but you can zero it out on something (like a cage) and find the difference, or needed angle.

It's not a secret man, the builders that are successful let their work speak for itself. You were doing a good job of posting progress pics until again rather than showing--telling us what subjects you're a master at. All--again-- after asking a question about that subject. You've got to see how that looks to everyone else.

I actually did admit on this rear short driveshaft I wasn't a "master" lol, others like XJs yes but this no. I'm not one to brag, usually very humble, but I am pridefully confident in areas I excel in like my work ethic and whatever few other things. But I see your point!
 
Driveshaft length in a swapped TJ is always a concern.

The case you're using is a slip yoke? Is there any way to go to an sye and a double cardan driveshaft?
 


That pulsation is the R&P speeding up and slowing down 4x for every rotation of the DS.
