Aight Folks, we had a great Mud Racing Season and Demolition Derby, but now that they're out of the way The Next 4x4cross planning is getting underway!!! :driver:

Next year it will be a completely Uwharrie Adventures (Uwharrie Stables) run production, with some outside help. You'll see alot of things we'll carry over from last year, a few things we won't and we're hoping to add even better things here and there and tweak it to run even smoother and better. It will once again be a weekend long event with all day throu the night scheduled events.

To start off let me state a few things. First is that I am the official online liason this year, and the only other point of contact is Jackie (poker) on the board. However we are asking that you direct most of the questions/pm's towards me, since they only have dialup at the stables and frankly don't have the free time to sit at the computer all the time and I am in constant contact with Johnny so the answers I give come strait from the horse's mouth.

That being said I don't really have all the time in the world to surf online either, last year I did because I was in college, now I have a Job over at Fab Fours and work a good bit of overtime so please people, don't flip if it takes me a while to get back to you with question answers, and please don't barrage Jackie with questions until you give me a few days or so to get back to you.

To follow up on that Point so far nothing is set for sure other than we want to have the event the weekend of May 15, 16, 17th '09 - that's the third Saturday of the month. So do not barrage this post, or me, with pm's about camping, or entry fee's, or rules, etc, etc, yet because we haven't had time to determine any of that.

Buuut here's where we want your input:

- I did some searching didn't really see any other big events other than the Sprint All Star Race that weekend in May '09, is there anything going on major that weekend? We are planning on doing it the weekend of May 15, 16, 17th '09 as of now unless something drastically big is going on that weekend that we need to plan around so please let me know if there is something asap otherwise it will be too late to change here shortly

- Also this year we want input on what you guys want to see for events, we are aiming to have something to please every scope of the off-road community and create a huge Jamboree/party/fun and safe atmosphere for this event. Here's some ideas of events we could have, let us know which ones you would like to see and if there's something else you think we aught to include:
4x4cross
Mud Comp
Rock Krawl Comp
Flat Track Drag Races
Dirt Bumper to Bumper grudge pulling
Sled pulling
Truck show

So, points to remember:
-Try and send most of your pm's and questions my way to take the load of the Jackie/Johnny/the Stables
-Don't barrage me with questions yet about things like camping, rules, $$, we don't have any details worked out yet, trust me, when we figure it out we'll let you know
-Give us feedback on possible events and the date

Thanks guys, we hope to make this event even better than last year and a weekend of 4x4 fun and mayhem :driver::Rockon:

***side note***Any vendors that either participated last year and are interested in participating again this year, or are new to the 4x4cross and interested in participating feel free to PM me with contact info

Also Anyone interested in Volunteering shoot me a contact email addy, thanks guys***

Im really looking forward to this. It was a great event last year and hopefully the first of many. Personally, I would love to have the 4x4cross (obviously), the Rock Crawl Comp., and the Mud Races. The only thing I wish we could have is more freee time on the rock course, and maybe multiple classes in the Rock Crawl Comp. (they may have had these things last year, dont really remember...I was distracted by my leg breaking that weekend.)

I will say that free reign on the rock pile probably won't happen due to the fact that we are knocking it down and reworking it and it will part of the 4x4cross track (adjusted different lines per class diffculty).

Also that we want to kinda have all motorized movement "organized" for pedestrian/all around safety therefore most arena's at the Stables will be closed off when not in competition mode for that weekend.

I will say that Johnny will be more than happy to let you or anyone play on the rockgarden or probably in the mud any weekend you wanna run down there as of right now as long as you stop by the office and ask first. It may get more limited as the event approaches thou, and especially when it goes under "destruction/construction".

Multiple classes in the rock krawl comp are a definite, but I will say that it will depend on how many/what kinda rigs show up for the Krawl comp, at the moment we're feelin a night time krawl comp since everyone seemed to love it last time, but nothin is set in stone as of yet.

Just FYI.. the 3rd weekend of each month from April on is usually URE Work weekend..

so if there was a way to get some of the folks from the race to help clean the trails, etc that would sure help out the Rangers..

thanks, stupid french words,

Very cool to hear, mark'd the month of may on my calendar.
Definitly want the rock crawl(to watch) the mud race(to watch) and the 4x4cross to run in.
Will the 4x4cross trail,be doable in a smaller rig, like the last race was?
Main complaint I had from the last race, was not having time to
enjoy the rest of the events.
With the race course at the stables this should help with that tho'
Also I understand the "big dog's" bring in the spectators but maybe having the events spread out so all competitors can watch different events.

one more question.. what happen to American Wheeler? Are they involved in this race also or just the stables gonna run it?

I believe American Wheeler kind of got booed out of town. From being involved in running the last race I can say from first hand experience that American Wheeler didn't do alot once the actual event started. It was 95% handled by members of this board who donated their time. American Wheeler didn't do much except advertise and take entries for the race on their website.

AW is out of the picture this year, however alot of Seans great ideas still remain. It will be differant from several aspects, but the seed has been planted and it's gonna blossom again this year. Should be at least 75% more spectator friendly, and easier to run the race part, due to track accesability. Thats all I know so far....Tons of potential.

There's something going on that weekend!!!

yeah i just got through reading that long ass thread on the subject.... im sorry i brought it up

hey....how much are those motion activated cameras that hunters use to see when game moves through an area?

that would be cool to have those set up around the course at some of the more interesting spots.

I know you know me well enough to know I'm just messing with you, you know. :huggy:

Def man, but i did want to change the wording on that statement thou thanks for pointing it out ;)

Yea AW is gone, but the core nc4x4 crew that made the competition all run last year is back and ready to make it even better, like I said its a Uwharrie Adventures (Stables) run production this time, with help from others, its going to be alot of work, so bear with us as we adjust and get things going :driver:

Yea unfortunately they are also gone, we are going to incorporate sponsors this year as well as a headline sponsor, but like I said its a Uwharrie Adventures run production this time, no AW.

You can count Usnick Motorsports in!!!!
I will put the word out around here as well!!
Gonna be a BLAST!!!!!!!
Rob
BTW-Ricky did you give Jackie/Johnny our money for the bunky house last weeked?
Thanks Bro!!

Yea man i got you covered for the bunk house, and def glad to hear your comin out, we appreciate the support you and your crew has given us so far :driver:

We're still leaning towards the 15/16/17th would anyone rather see it on memorial day weekend? That would be the 22/23/24th - only drawback there we don't like is the Coca Cola 600 is that weekend, give us some feedback thou :driver:
