Angler achievements!

Knock on wood I've never been sea sick.... But took my gf out and she got sick and was to embarrassed to throw up over the rail, she tried to hold it all back and I think that made everything worse. But hey we was catching fish and I wasn't gonna go in

My dad landed a nice little 3lb cat this morning on his fly rod. Don't catch many of those on a hoola-popper haha. Mountain Island Lake-

What kind of fish is this? Rear half looks like most brim or blue gill I've caught, front looks like a bass. It was like 1.5lbs!

Lots of bright yellow on it, caught it on a large hula popper in VA.

Looks like a small mouth bass and bream hybrid.

Didn't know there was such a thing until I just googled it and they look just like that.

Doing some research, it's a Green Sunfish. Apparently the record is 12" and 2.2lbs. I didn't think to measure length, but I can tell you it was not far off from 12".

It's mouth is huge to be 100% sunfish/blue gill/bream. A smallmouth is also a species of sunfish. There are a ton of variations out there though.

Def a green sunfish I use Em that size for bait rigged on slip rig for flattys! That's a nice one could be a hybrid BC the spot in tail fin isn't common that I've seen or I just overlooked it

Caught this a few years ago off the coast of Oahu Hi. 56" 68lbs Bull Mahi Mahi. The captain said that I should have a replica made of it as it was the biggest he had seen in a long time. Not the biggest fish I've ever landed but the it's the nicest looking IMO. I tried to put it in the house but the boss aka the wife asked why the hell did I need a 900sqft shop/ man cave. The largest I've caught was a 271 lbs Halibut in Prince William Sound Alaska.

I don't think it's a hybrid, that spot is actually a bite mark (sore).

Years ago I bought a soft plastic minnow and frog kit. This past weekend the bass were killing the frog and they shredded the last of them. Anyone recognize these? They came with a special hook, little cork screw prices and rubber bands to make them weedless.

Biggest bass and striper I've ever caught in my life were on the grey/black one. ;)
