Assault rifle sales

That story has been going around since a couple days after the shooting. There is also video of the police pulling an AR style weapon from the trunk of the car, funny part is a bushmaster AR has a top mount charging system, the gun pulled from the trunk was a side mount and looks suspeciously like a shotgun. You can't believe a damn thing the media says because they don't bother to fact check or dig any deeper than necessary to brink you an "exciting story". News media is no different than regular shows, they have to keep ratings up to stay on the air so they will do what they need to, be damned the consequences.

Check out some of the videos of parents of children from the school standing in line to be interviewed by media. They are talking and smiling, not grieving like they should be after a tragedy of that caliber. Part of the problem with most information people talk about is its just stuff heard on tv and most Americans are to lazy to research and fact check for themselves. I guess it's just the America we live in, but then again it's why we are in a lot of bad situations like this gun ban talk.

Does anyone else see another inconsistancy here?!?!?! I doubt anyone can get into the mind of the shooter (nor would they want to), but walk through this with me....

Shooter wakes up and decides his mom needs to be dead and she happens to have a stockpile of weapons including the Bushmaster "assault" rifle. He shoots her several times in the head and proceeds to take his brother's ID (who supposedly hasn't seen him in over a year) and steal her car to drive to the school to go on his rampage. There's enough rage in his head to shoot his mom and go on a killing spree, but he takes the time to hide a rifle in the trunk?!?!? What would he care at this point to keep it in open view with the other guns? They said on the news that he had a bulletproof vest on, but yet took his own life? What's THAT all about? If I had to guess, the reason the rifle was in the trunk was because he couldn't fit it in the passenger seat because it was OCCUPIED.

I did see news reports immediately after the incedent where some of the parents mentioned watching someone in camo pants and a black jacket coming out of the woods, claiming "he didn't have anything to do with it" and was detained, only to be released (but not heard from again).

There are alot of people with the same questions that we have. This is an article from a blog that was posted on FB. A little long so I didn't copy and paste.
http://shortlittlerebel.wordpress.com/2012/12/16/urgent-update-on-connecticut-shooting/

Something else the author brought up that I hadn't heard in all this:

"The father of the shooter is Peter Lanza, rumored to be scheduled to testify on the international LIBOR scandal. Guess who else is rumored to be scheduled to testify on the LIBOR scandal? Father of the BATMAN theater shooter. Amazing coincidence? We will see. The LIBOR scandal is a massive, worldwide network of banks, the Federal Reserve and highly position individuals such as Tim Geihtner and Ben Bernanke that are being accused of manipulating LIBOR rates to gain better market positions."

You know what else?
Both shooters have the letters A and M in their first names and L in their last names.
There must be something about those letters than make you CRAZY.
Or better yet, there is a major conspiracy to slowly eliminate the people who are eligible to own firearms, starting with specific letter combinations.

There is no such thing as "coincidence".
This is, however, statistics and probability... and random chance...

Actually, according to snopes.com, that rumor has no basis. And we all know they can't put anything on the internet that isn't true.... Bonjour!

Neither one will pass Congress. The only way this happens is by executive order.

And we have just the right puppet to give the order.

Taken from an article above by fienstien...

Indicating the depth of her research on the issue, she said on Dec. 21st that she had personally looked at pictures of guns in 1993, and again in 2012.

That's some hella research right there. hope she didn't hurt herself.

has anyone sent anything from that link in post 132, not sure about the putting my name and zip code on it, almost feel like it could be stored for later use....yeah im sure im over-thinking it, but cant help but wonder

I did. Hell, they already know where we live, and any gun bought from a dealer is already registered with whoever. I just copied the letter he put on Youtube but changed some wording. Probably would have used too many 4 letter words if I wrote something myself.

Yeah I sent an email to Senators Burr, Haygan, and Myrick using it. We all need to get involved. Back in 1994 gun owners sat on their hands and said the AWB would never pass. Well it did. Thank goodness it expired in 2004. This new ban doesnt expire and affects us all. Send those email and letters now!

Emails carry very little weight compared to actual snail mail. Please take the time to mail a couple real letters.

This. Phone calls work well also.

Make sure to mention to Kay Hagen's office that you know she's up for election, and very vulnerable.

Sounds good, i was only about 3 or 4 at the time of the other ban so i dont know what went on there, but im going to write up a letter and send it in, probably send an email too while im at it, just copy and paste anyways....what or who would be the best to send it too?, and what about the mailing address?

Check out the link for the firearms freedom act. It looks like our only savior in a crappy time for gun owners. Hopefully NC puts it through and gives us atleast a little hope. SC pushed it through so i guess worst case its time to go one state south.

Hey guys,
just bringing this back to the top as this is a very important topic to me. I just finished emailing the NC Senate and Congress reps. Be sure to send emails to support the opposition of gun bans. Talk on here is important but we must make sure that we aim the talk and noise in the right direction. That is towards the people making the laws.

Links to those reps are below.

This is the response I worked up and send to our reps. You can cut and paste some of mine or create your own. The bigger voice we have the better! Liberals are loud as hell so we need to be louder! Yeah, I am a damn artist! flame me all you would like to! :fuck-you:

My response:
Senator Richard Burr,
My name is Chad Edmonson. I am a lifelong resident of the wonderful state of North Carolina. I am an artist, hunter, CCW carrier, firearm enthusiast and hardworking citizen that contributes to keeping this state prosperous. I am also a believer that our country is better with upstanding citizens being allowed to buy and possess firearms to protect themselves and others in our community. There should be NO compromise on any gun ban that might be drafted towards honest, law abiding citizens. A gun ban on honest, upstanding citizens of our state will only breed more crime and terrorism among us. The lawful citizens owning and possessing guns is not the problem. The facts are everywhere. Look at every place in America with strict gun laws but with out of control crime: Chicago, IL, Washington, DC, California, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Ohio, and the list continues. The current laws are strict enough for honest citizens trying to purchase and carry a firearm. We need to prosecute the criminals and fight for stronger consequences for those committing violent crimes, not taking the only protection lawful citizens have from protecting themselves from criminals. Leaving citizens vulnerable and defenseless is not an option. Each US citizen deemed fit to carry a firearm for personal protection, for sport and/or for the protection of others should be allowed as it has been (this is based on guidelines set by current laws that are adequate). I am asking that you reject any gun ban or additional firearms restrictions that may be written up in Washington, DC. Criminals should be the ones getting reworked laws, not lawful citizens. Laws can not and will not stop crazy people from doing crazy things. We just need to make sure that lawful citizens will be there as a first line of defense to help our countrymen and assist in preventing situations like the shooting at Newtown, CT or Aurora, CO from causing so much devastation. As NRA EVP stated in a press conference last month, "The only thing stopping a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun." That is how we need to look at it. I don't think you should have to own a gun if you don't want to, but why should I be suppressed and persecuted for wanting to own a gun even though someone doesn't agree?! Our country is free and shall continue to be free as long as our people continue to support our Constitution! Thank you so much for taking the time to read my email and trying to resolve the issues in Washington. This is imperative for the future of our freedom and anti-gun talks should be stopped now. You are our voice and you must not back down.

Thanks for your time,
Chad

I'm getting so sick of "reactionism" (I don't know if I just made up that word or not). The companies that sell automatic weapons are trying to make it out that they don't, and the companies that sold them are pulling them off the shelves. Does it change what happend Friday? No. Will it change events that will happen again? No.

I'm not trying to underplay what happend. It's a tragedy of epic proportion and I can relate all to well since I have a child the same age as the victims. Trust me, it is difficult to cope with the images that are going through my brain, I can't imagine nor I want to imagine what is going through theirs.

The reactions of the gun makers and sellers is what has be baffled. It's not like they were making lollipops and suddenly one day a rogue lollipop caused some horrible tragedy. These are guns. Automatic ones. Ones that should be in the hands of trained individuals and kept out of the hands of others. Now, I've never fired one of these rifles, but I've fired a couple semi-automatic handguns and non-automatic rifles. The ones I've fired, there was no mistaking the deadly force they are capable of. Now, Bushmaster (those who make them and those that sell them) is all the sudden ashamed of what they sell enough to pull them off the shelves. Not out of some sort of manufacturing defect safety recall, but out of concern of their image. That's reactionary and wrong. You make and sell a LEGAL product. I don't know that I'd ever buy one - I don't hunt nor do I feel the need to own an automatic weapon - a semi-automatic pistol seems to be all the protection I feel I'd need - but that's just my opinion. I personally feel that if you need to hunt at 800 rounds per minute, perhaps hunting isn't your sport - but again, that is just my opinion.

You can't just own an "automatic weapon." Let's get some facts straight here, AR-15's are NOT assault weapons, they are semi-automatic rifles. Assault riffles have been outlawed since about 1934, the definition of assault riffle is: a fully automatic or burst fire weapon. You have to have a federal tax stamp to own them and its not simple to get.

Maybe it is just me, and you guys may jump all over me for this, but if it means the anti-gun people will shut up for a while I have no problem with them outlawing hi-cap mags.

I will gladly give up a 30-round magazine for the right to own and carry a gun.

I always say that if you are ever in a situation where you need a 30 round mag, you are doing something you shouldn't be doing. When is the last time you heard of some guy getting in a massive shootout with some bad guys and he was saved by some hi-cap mag? No, you hear of a guy getting off 1-4 rounds and taking care of the situation. I carry a .45 with a 8 round mag and one in the pipe, with a second 8 round mag just in case.

I know first we give them our hi-cap mags, then we give them our assault rifles, next it is all guns. That will be the argument. Don't forget who we have in office now. We have to give them SOMETHING or else they will take it all. We need to appease them for the time being.

You give any and you start the snow ball rolling, if you advocate giving and advocate any restrictions then you are NOT pro second and need to not try and represent us unless.

I like it. Probably the only thing missing is reminding him that he swore an oath to protect the Constitution of the United States of America and under the 2nd amendment, it is his duty to reject any infringement on our inherent rights.
