Automotive bubble....has it burst?

Car trade in offers have been dropping over the past 3 months when I have been watching.

Dirt bikes are starting to have rebates on them (my guess is production is at covid levels still and the demand is slowing)
MTB often can be found for 25% off due to the same issue as above

Had to pick up a new work truck. $71k out the door. 2023, 250 4x4 crew, STX, 6.7.

Anyone noticed any deals on Navigators or Expeditions?

Deals…no, the market crashing on those specific vehicles…yes. The dealers in the Navi/Expy group I’m in are saying prices are down $15-20k from 3-6 months ago. But one of those same dealers just listed a 2019 reserve L 4x4 with 150,000miles for $32k.

A guy I work with just bought a 2023 Navigator and said Parkway Ford was willing to negotiate. And Capitol Ford does those weird CPO lemon rebuilds that usually knock 20-30% off.

Interest rates will kill the car, housing, and any market where people take out loans. I have been patching up my van that is over 10 years old till the market blows up. Looking to pick up a cheap rental property and vehicle sometime next year (if I still have a job)
Not if good, little, hardworking and responsible Americans take the financial hit and allow the .gov to use their own $$$ to subsidize the loans of those with low credit ratings.

a 2019 LWB with 150k miles? Most likely a limo/taxi and probably shows it.

If you consider it’s probably 4.5yrs at this point…that’s only 33.3k/yr. That’s basically a 60 mile commute (each way) plus a few road trips. When I was commuting from Salisbury to Winston I was putting 25k/yr on just back and forth to work, and easily another 10k annually in road trips. Definitely high miles, but I don’t think ‘daily highway commuter’ is outside the realm of possibility.

Yup.
My '22 turned 35k miles today

My '00 is still at about 95k...

‘15 296k

Just got word my 23 Super Duty I ordered will actually be a 24. Production pushed to late this year. No biggie or anything.

At this point, I’d want to get as far away from 2020-2022 parts, equipment and labor as I could…
