Y’all are turning out some great looking work! However, I’m a weirdo and come hell or high water, I plan to complete my little project here under my own roof (or at my father in laws shop depending on the stage) where I’m close to my own fridge! And when it’s done any good welds, and any shit welds i can call mine. Any weld failures i can call mine. And any axle, transmission , transfer case, suspension, engine, or electrical failures I can call all mine! I quess I’m just a selfish asshole, because I want any and all shortcomings of this build to be on me.With @Joe J. jeep on the final stages, we'll have some shop space....
Thank you! All of CTB has contributed in one way or another. Whether it’s from link calculator help or me just quietly checking out someone’s setup! Y’all are a wealth of knowledge and I’ll definitely be picking everyone’s brain along the way. But I have to say, Larry (Corey’s Dad) has had the best advice...” stay off the forum and go build something!!”No selfishness in wanting to do all your own work. More power to ya man and if you ever need/want any help, we’re always here to lend a hand
I wish I had an update, but at this point I’m “budget bound”! With that said , my next decision will be which cab to use. When I decide for sure, I’m going to remove that cab and strip it down and start making some rust repairs. This will be mostly labor and not much money in parts or supplies. Right now I’m leaning heavy on using the ‘75 cab, but I want to be 100% before I start tear down.OK...it's been a while since we've had an update....Hint Hint!!!
That’s the “plan”!!!@Nakoma if it doesn’t turn out like this I’m gonna disown you. View attachment 295761View attachment 295762
Absolutely!!@Nakoma keep the baby poop green patina
No turbo. But I am considering a 3rz instead of a 22re. We’ll see.Now the question is......Turbo or Non-Turbo???
THAT'S what I'm talking about!No turbo. But I am considering a 3rz instead of a 22re. We’ll see.
But you can still Turbo a 3RZ....come on....where's your sense of adventure???!!!No turbo. But I am considering a 3rz instead of a 22re. We’ll see.
Haha! I deal with turbo engines every day. Too much heat and too delicate. And too expensive!!But you can still Turbo a 3RZ....come on....where's your sense of adventure???!!!
Still following and I completely agree with it all in house....serious amount of satisfaction to be gained. Also 70 percent or more of the fun.But I have to say, Larry (Corey’s Dad) has had the best advice...” stay off the forum and go build something!!”

Thanks! A long ways to go, but it’ll get there. It’s amazing to see where this thing is. I remember brain storming on my trailer chilling under my easy up in Harlan almost 1 year ago. To see what you’ve done and the direction it’s going is awesome!
It also great see someone be so accepting of advice and opinions.
